Clinical Observation Of Dahuang Mudanpi Decoction Of Carotid Atherosclerotic Vulnerable Plaque In Phlegm-Heat And Blood Stasis Syndrome

Abstract/Summary:
Objectives The research is conducted to evaluate clinical effect and action mechanism of Dahuang Mudanpi Modification on patients of carotid atherosclerosis vulnerable plaque in phlegm-heat and blood stasis syndrome,to provide the new ideal for the pills clinical application,by observing Lp-PLA2,blood lipid levels,the carotid artery IMT,score of plaque and traditional Chinese medicine syndrome.Methods All the patients were separated into two groups by using random method,and each group had 30 cases.The control group treated with basic medical intervention,and the treatment group treated with Dahuang Mudanpi Modification,twice a day,in the basis of routine treatment for 6 months.Comparison on carotid artery IMT,score of plaque,traditional Chinese medicine syndrome and laboratory indexes which includes Lp-PLA2 and blood lipids were observed within the 2 groups before and after treatment.The results of measurement data were analyzed by SPSS 19.0.Results After treatment,Lp-PLA2,TC,LDL-C and traditional Chinese medicine syndrome were significantly decreased in both groups compared with baseline(P<0.05),and the difference between groups was obviously significant(P<0.05).After treatment,the carotid artery IMT and score of plaque had tendency to reduce,HDL-C had tendency to increase,but there were no significant difference(P>0.05).Conclusions Dahuang Mudanpi Modification can reduce the level of Lp-PLA2,TC,LDLC,the carotid artery IMT and traditional Chinese medicine syndrome in patients with carotid atherosclerosis vulnerable plaque.Dahuang Mudanpi Modification can improve the overall effecacy of TCM syndrome,optimize the symptom of patients and better the quality of life.
