| Objective: Based on the result that electro-acupuncture is effective in treating peripheral facial paralysis,House-Brackmann scale,facial paralysis level grading scale(by Wanzhang Yang)were used to observe the recovery of facial paralysis.This research compared clinical effects of electro-acupuncture on Yi Feng-Xia Guan acupoints and Di Cang-Xia Guan acupoints,then definite the best acupoints for electro-acupuncture,providing a better therapeutic schedule to treat peripheral facial paralysis.Methods:72 patients accord with incorporating standard were recorded in this research.The patients were divided into two groups,EA-1 group and EA-2 group at random,and each of them included 36 patients.Two groups of patients used different acupoints for electro-acupuncture,EA-1 group on Yi Feng-Xia Guan,and EA-2 group on Di Cang-Xia Guan.The treatments were applied once every day,0.5h every time.Every course of treatment included 5 days,and 2 days off after every course.House-Brackmann scale,facial paralysis level grading scale(by Wanzhang Yang)were used to observe the recovery of facial paralysis.After 4 courses we observed the final recovery of two groups,and compared the different curative effects of two groups.Result: This research proved that after 4 courses,the ranking level of two groups were both better than before,and the difference was statistically significant.The difference of total effective rates in EA-1 group and EA-2 group was not statistically significant.Comparing two groups,EA-1 group had advantages in days of recovery,cure rate and initial recovery time of facial muscles,and the difference was statistically significant.Conclusion: This research proved that there was no difference between electro-acupuncture on Yi Feng-Xia Guan and Di Cang-Xia Guan in curative effects.But electro-acupuncture on Yi Feng-Xia Guan had prominent advantages in reducing days of recovery,promoting recovery of facial muscles. |
