?Objective? To analysis whether lower limb arteriosclerosis has influence on knee joint function recovery after total knee arthroplasty(TKA)in old patients and provide theoretical basis for future clinical work.?Methods? The clinical treatment of 111 elderly patients with definite diagnosis of knee osteoarthritis(KOA)and primary unilateral TKA were collected and divided into lower limb arteriosclerosis stenosis group(degree of stenosis ?50%)and lower limb arteriosclerosis non-stenosis group(degree of stenosis <50%)according to the ultrasonic examination results of lower limb arteries. The preoperative lower limb artery stenosis degree, knee joint flexion time of 90 degrees, knee joint activity degree on the 3rd and 7th days after operation,AKS score(American Knee Society Score)and HSS score(The Hospital for Special Surgery Score)on the 7th day after operation were recorded, and the influence of preoperative lower limb arteriosclerosis stenosis degree on the early recovery of knee joint function after operation was compared.?Results? There was no statistical difference in basic data between the two groups(P >0.05).The average activity on the 3rd and 7th day after operation in the stenosis group(46.73±10.98°;91.88±7.26°)was lower than that in the non-stenosis group(57.33 ± 20.41°;95.35 ± 2.73°),and the difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P=0.001;P=0.002).The average time of knee flexion to 90 degree of patients in the stenosis group(4.97±1.38 days)is greater than that in the non-stenosis group(4.13±1.19 days),and the difference between the two groups is statistically significant(P=0.001).The average AKS score and HSS score on the 7th day after operation in non-stenosis group(68.80±3.37 points;70.43±3.56 points)were higher than those in stenosis group(66.00±5.24 points;68.16±4.72 points),and the difference between the two groups was statistically significant(P=0.001;P=0.005).Single factor analysis showed that the influencing factors of AKS score and HSS score on the 7th day after operation were knee joint activity on the 3rd and 7th days after operation and lower limb arteriosclerosis stenosis(P < 0.05).Multivariate analysis showed that the independent risk factors of AKS score and HSS score on the7 th day after operation were knee joint activity on the 3rd and 7th days after operation and lower limb arteriosclerosis stenosis(P<0.05).?Conclusion?The degree of lower limb arteriosclerosis stenosis before operation in elderly patients with osteoarthritis is an influential factor for early functional recovery of knee joint after TKA operation. The higher the degree of arterial stenosis before operation, the worse the recovery of knee joint function after TKA.
