Objesctive: To investigate the characteristics of Achilles tendon thickness and Achilles tendon elasticity in healthy and non-clinical type 2 diabetic patients by using acoustic palpation tissue imaging and quantification(VTIQ),and to provide a reference for the early diagnosis of diabetic lower extremity lesions.Methods: A routine ultrasound examination was performed on 30 patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus and 90 healthy people of different ages diagnosed in the Fifth Affiliated Hospital of Xinjiang Medical University.VTIQ elastography was performed to analyze the Achilles tendon of healthy people and diabetic patients.The characteristics of two-dimensional ultrasound and elastography,and the thickness of the bilateral Achilles tendon and the shear wave velocity(SWV)in the middle of the Achilles tendon.Results: The thickness of the Achilles tendon and the Achilles tendon SWV were not related to the left and right sides of the Achilles tendon(P>0.05).The thickness of the male Achilles tendon was greater than the thickness of the female Achilles tendon in the same age group(P<0.05);male and female followers The thickness of the crucible increases with age.The shear wave velocity(SWV)levels in the age group(youth,middle-aged,and old)were compared between the three groups(P<0.05).In either state,the difference in SWV between any two age groups was statistically significant(P<0.05);to further analyze the relationship between Achilles tendon elasticity and age,Achilles tendon was drawn in two states.The line chart of SWV shows that the level of SWV in healthy people tends to increase with age.The thickness of Achilles tendon in the non-clinical type 2 diabetes group was greater than that of healthy people in the same age group(P<0.05).In the state of tension and relaxation,the difference between the non-clinical type 2 diabetes group and the healthy group of the same age group was statistically significant.According to the line chart drawn by the two groups of SWV,the clinically symptomatic type 2 diabetes was shown.The group was higher than the healthy population of the same age group.There was no significant difference in SWV between the Achilles tendon and the tension in the diabetic group(P>0.05).Conclusion: 1.The thickness of Achilles tendon increases with age in healthy people,and the elasticity of Achilles tendon decreases with age.2.Patients with type 2 diabetes without clinical symptoms have increased Achilles tendon thickness and decreased Achilles tendon elasticity.3.VTIQ technology can quantitatively provide elastic information of Achilles tendon,which is an important supplementary means of two-dimensional ultrasound.
