| Background and ObjectiveThe goal of the new medical reform is to solve the current situation of people’s difficult in medical treatment and expensive medical treatment, thus to maximize patient satisfaction and meet their basic medical service needs. At the same time, the National Health and Welfare Department has proposed "three good and one satisfaction"activities and the "three-year action plan for further improvement of medical services"which aimed to shorten the waiting time for outpatient visits.Besides, the national grading diagnosis and treatment plan stipulates that the basic hospital should bear 90%of the diagnosis and treatment of diseases, and thus the burden on the basic hospital is invisibly increased on the supply side.Based on data of all outpatient visits in 2013-2018 and the time points of the doctors from the registration to medical treatment derived from the HIS system of the People’s Hospital of Haining City, this study tried to analyze the outpatient traffic of the primary hospital and further to explore the trend of traffic trends in primary hospitals,so as to provide a scientific basis for effectively improving service supply and improving the rational use of existing medical resources.Material and MethodThe data of all outpatient visits in 2013-2018 and the time points of the doctors from the registration to medical treatment inspection were downloaded and the database needed for the study was constructed. The data was analyzed from the three perspectives, including outpatient flow, waiting time and seasonal index.Single factor test was performed using GLM model and chi-square test.A multivariate linear model was used to analyze the relationship between outpatient flow and waiting time and seasonal index.ResultsIn recent years, the outpatient traffic volume of our hospital had been increasing year by year.Expecting for 2013,the outpatient traffic in other quarters has shown a relatively gradual upward trend. In addition, the monthly average outpatient traffic volume fluctuated in each year. The annual peaks of annual outpatient visits were in February,September and November, with February peaking of the year.In terms of weekly trends,Monday was the peak of the clinic, then gradually fell to the peaks valleys on Wednesday, and then gradually declined. On the average trend,it peaks at 9 am every day, then gradually declines, and then drops again after about 3 pm.The outpatient waiting time in 2014-2018 show an "inverted U" trend, but there were differences in waiting time in different years. In addition, the monthly average waiting time in different years also showed an "inverted U" shape, but the seasonal indices of different months showed irregular changes.Further multivariate regression analysis showed that there was a significant positive correlation between outpatient flow and waiting time and seasonal index.Conclusion1.Through the analysis of outpatient traffic in a county hospital from 2013 to 2017,it was found that the number of outpatient visits in five years showed an upward trend.2.Through the data analysis of the year, season, month, week and time period, the distribution peak of the outpatient traffic at each point were found, and corresponding measureswere taken.3.Through the analysis of the correlation between waiting time and outpatient flow,it is concluded that the increase of hospital outpatient traffic did not bring about a significant increase in waiting time, indicating that the corresponding measures are effective. |
