Objectives:To investigate the occurrence of adverse events and the intention to report nursing adverse events of clinical nursing students;to translate and revise the Patient Safety Assessment Survey into Chinese version and test its reliability and validity;to explore the influencing factors of adverse event reporting intention of nursing students. It is beneficial for the teaching hospital to manage the interns better,so as to improve the quality of medical service and promote the safety of the patients, and also provide some suggestions for the clinical teaching reform of medical colleges. Methods:In this study,a cluster sampling method was used to select undergraduate nursing students from a medical college in Anhui province.Students were asked to fill a series of questionnaires, including demographic questionnaire, report intent questionnaire, report cognition questionnaire, report barriers questionnaire, error reporting influencing factors questionnaire and modified patient safety assessment questionnaire,in which the report intention questionnaire was used to measure dependent variables, other questionnaires were used to investigate the influencing factors of adverse event reporting intention.EpiData3.1 was used to input data and SPSS 17.0 was used to do descriptive statistics analysis, scale reliability analysis,non-parametric analysis,Spearman correlation analysis and multiple linear stepwise regression analysis.Results:1.A total of 560 questionnaires were distributed and recovered, the effective questionnaire was 550,with an effective recovery rate of 98.2%.There are 230 ?41.8%?students had adverse events during the internship, most of which were events that did not cause injury to the patients 209?90.9%?.2.The median,P25,P755 of nursing students'report intention score was 13?015??11?15;the median,P25,P755 of the report cognitive score was 5?08??3?7;the median,P25,P755 of the report barriers questionnaire was 61?22110??56?67;the score of the three dimensions from high to low was the punitive culture, the reporting process and the report significance;the scores of the three subscales from high to low were subjective norm, perceived cost and perceived income, and the total score of patient safety assessment was 78.78±7.86.3.The total Cronbach?coefficient of cross-cultural revised patient safety assessment questionnaire was 0.800,the Cronbach?coefficient of each dimension was 0.752 to 0.800,and the half reliability of the questionnaire?Split-Half coefficient?was 0.694.4.There were significant differences in adverse event reporting intention in gender, safety knowledge learning during school, safety knowledge training and adverse event experience?P<0.05?.5.Spearman correlation analysis showed that:report cognition, reporting significance, subjective norms, patient safety attitude and psychological comfort of handling errors were positively correlated with the reporting intention of nursing students?P<0.05?;the punitive culture, perceived cost were negatively correlated with the report intention of internship nursing students?P<0.05?.6.Multivariate stepwise regression analysis:with the report intention as the dependent variable, the indicators with significant statistical significance in the single factor analysis are independent variables. The results show that report cognition, patient safety attitude, psychological comfort of handling error, safety knowledge learning during school, gender and punitive culture are significant predictors of the report intention of intern nursing students, which could explain 18.2%of the total variation.Conclusion:1.The incidence of adverse events in the nursing students was high, but most of them were events that did not cause injury to patients.2.The reporting intention of nursing students was positive, but the intention of reporting potential injury and no injury to patients needs to be further improved.3.The revised patient safety assessment questionnaire has good reliability and validity, and it can be used to evaluate nursing students'attitude towards patient safety and psychological comfort in the process of handling errors.4.The explicit report cognition, safety knowledge learning during school, positive patient safety attitude, psychological comfort of dealing with errors have positive effect on the intention of adverse event reporting of nursing students, and the punitive culture has a negative effect on reporting intention.
