| Objective:Investigate the prevalence of thyroid nodules in a physical examination population in Beijing,analyze the influencing factors of thyroid nodules.Methods:A cross-sectional study was conducted on 52172 healthy population who had completed physical examination and completed thyroid ultrasound in Beijing from 2015 to 2017.Using chi-square test and T test compared clinical features of individual age,sex,BMI,blood pressure,blood glucose,blood lipid,uric acid,fatty liver,prostatic hyperplasia situation between whether suffering from thyroid nodules or not;Screening the influencing factors of thyroid nodules by multiple factor logistic regression.Results:1,We got 52003 cases except 169 cases were not able to confirm whether there were thyroid nodules among the 52172 physical examinersAmong them,19901 cases have thyroid nodules.The overall prevalence rate was 38.3%.2,The overall prevalence rate of thyroid nodules in men was 30.2%(6726/22305),and the overall prevalence rate of thyroid nodules in women was 44.4%(13175/29698),higher than men.3,Single thyroid nodules accounted for 41.66%,while multiple thyroid nodules accounted for 58.34%,relatively higher than single thyroids.4,On the distribution of nodules,multiple bilateral thyroid nodules accounting for 44.56%,most of them in the left or right sides,while the incidence of the isthmus was only 0.38%.5,Through unconditional logistic regression analysis of two categories,we found that older,impaired fasting glucose,diabetes,HDL-C decrease,had prostate hyperplasia were independently related with thyroid nodules,which is an independent risk factor for thyroid nodules.Conclusion:Thyroid nodule is a common disease in Department of Endocrinology,has a high prevalence in apparent healthy population.This study found that thyroid nodule is associated with several metabolic indicators or metabolic diseases.The mechanism is unclear at present.Further clinical research is needed. |
