Clinical Research On Treating Sinus Tarsi Syndrome With Acupotomy Intervening Yin And Yang Heel Vessel

Objective:This study was designed to scientifically observe the treatment of sinus tarsi syndrome with acupotomy intervening Yin and Yang Heel Vessel,comparing with traditional local block therapy,to verify the clinical efficacy and provide a new treatment thought for clinicians.Methods: 72 cases of sinus tarsi syndrome was screened and divided into two groups on the principle of random,contrast and single-blind.One group contained 36 cases with acupotomy intervening yin and yang heel vessel(treatment group),the other group contained 36 cases with traditional local block therapy(control group).All the groups was treated every five days,two times.Based on the scoring requirments of the Visual Analogue Scale/Score(VAS),the Americal Orthopedic Foot and Ankle Society(AOFAS)and the Ankle Hindfoot Scale(AHS),the follow-up report were processed before and after the treatment for one month,and then made statistical analysis.Results:(1)The before and after treatment scores of both groups’ s pain has a significant difference with the Visual Analogue Scale/Score(VAS)(P<0.01)and the Americal Orthopedic Foot and Ankle Society(AOFAS)(P<0.05).It infers that both groups can improve the clinical symptoms.(2)The treatment group’s effective rate was 97.2%,and the control group’s effective rate was 88.9%.It shows that the treatment group with acupotomy intervening yin and yang heel vesselis is better than the control group with local block therapy.Conclusion: Both the acupotomy intervening yin and yang heel vesseland the local block therapy have a significant improvement for the clinical symptoms and signs of sinus tarsi syndrome.The acupotomy has a better efficacy for the clinical symptoms with simple operation,limited side-effect and easy mastery.It has some certain promotion value and is worthy studying and applying for clinicians.
