Objective: To investigate the relationship between neutrophil lymphocyte ratio(NLR)and left ventricular structure and function in patients with essential hypertension.Methods: A retrospective study was conducted to select 300 patients with essential hypertension who were admitted to the Department of Hypertension,the First Affiliated Hospital of Xinjiang Medical University from December 2016 to December 2017.The NLR level was quartile at admission.The number of patients with essential hypertension was divided into 75 patients in group A(NLR?1.271),75 patients in group B(1.271<NLR?1.627),and 75 patients in group C(1.627<NLR?2.038),group D.75 cases(2.038<NLR).Patient clinical baseline data were collected.The differences in NLR and left ventricular structure and diastolic function were compared statistically,and correlation analysis and regression analysis were performed.Results:From group A to group D,the IVST,LVPWT,E/A,LVM,and LVMI of the four groups were significantly different(P<0.05).Among them,with the increase of NLR,IVST,The values of LVPWT,LVM and LVMI increased gradually.With the increase of NLR,the value of E/A gradually decreased.Correlation analysis indicated that NLR level was positively correlated with IVST,LVPWT,A peak,LVM and LVMI,and E/A.There was a negative correlation.Pearson correlation analysis of LVMI found that LVMI was positively correlated with systolic blood pressure,total cholesterol,high-density lipoprotein,and NLR.Multiple linear regression analysis found that systolic blood pressure,NLR,and high-density lipoprotein were the influencing factors of left ventricular hypertrophy.E/A's Pearson correlation analysis found that E/A was inversely associated with age,medical history,low-density lipoprotein,NLR,left atrial diameter,and ventricular septalthickness.Multiple linear regression analysis found that age,low-density lipoprotein,and NLR were the influencing factors of left ventricular diastolic dysfunction.Conclusion:There are differences in left ventricular structure and diastolic function between different levels of NLR in patients with essential hypertension,and there is a certain correlation.
