ObjectiveTo learn the status of social support, alexithymia and quality of life in patients with hematological malignancies; To explore the relationship between social support, alexithymia and quality of life and verify the mediating role of social support in alexithymia and quality of life in patients with hematological malignancies,in order to provide theoretical basis for establishing the interventions measures to improve the alexithymia degree and quality of life of patients with hematological malignancies in the future.MethodsWithout affecting patients' normal treatment and nursing,a cross-sectional survey was conducted from November 2017 to June 2018 among 260 patients with hematological malignancies in the Dalian hospital by using convenience sampling method and the General Status Questionnaire,Toronto Alexithymia Scale(TAS-20),Social Support Scale and Quality of Life Scale(FACT-G),before investigation,an informed consent of patients was obtained and finally 260 valid questionnaires were collected.SPSS 20.0 software was used for statistical analysis. We describe the general information by using constituent ratio, mean and standard deviation, analyze the correlation relationship by using Pearson method and AMOS 22.0 was used to establish structural equation model to analyze the action path and mediating effect, analyze the influencing factors of patients' social support, alexithymia and quality of life by using single factor analysis and multiple linear regression.Results1 The results showed that about 45.8% of patients with hematological mali-gnancies had alexithymia. The average score of alexithymia was(58.56±11.48).The score of extroversion dimension was the highest(23.74±5.23),followed by r ecognition of affective disorder(19.76±5.60).2 The average score of social support in patients was(41.23±7.99),which was at the middle level. The highest score of subjective support was(23.62±4.87),and the lowest score of support utilization was(6.52±1.85);3 The average score of quality of life in patients was(70.26±16.69),which was at the middle level. The highest score was social/family status, which was(19.62±4.26),and the lowest score was functional status, which was(15.86±6.70).4 Alexithymia was negatively correlated with quality of life(r=-0.39,P < 0.01).alexithymia was negatively correlated with social support(r=-0.34,P < 0.01).Social support was positively correlated with quality of life(r = 0.503,P < 0.01).Social support plays an intermediary role between alexithymia and quality of life in patients with hematological malignancies, accounting for 52.4% of the total effect.5 The influencing factors of alexithymia in patients with hematological malignancies include social support and education level; The influencing factors of social support status in patients include alexithymia, marital status, family relationship and working status.ConclusionIn this study, about 45.8% of patients with hematological malignancies were accompanied by alexithymia, which needs to be changed urgently. The social support and quality of life of patients with hematological tumors are at a moderate level, and there is great room for improvement.Alexithymia, social support and quality of life of patients with hematological malignancies are correlative with each other, and alexithymia can negatively predict the quality of life of patients.Social support status can predict the quality of life of patients positively;alexithymia of patients with hematological tumors can not only directly affect the quality of life of patients, but also indirectly affect the quality of life through the intermediary role of social support.Medical staff can formulate corresponding nursing measures according to this relationship in order to maximize the quality of life of patients with hematological malignancies.
