Aims:The comparison of the differences in social psychological characteristics of patients with different subtypes of functional dyspepsia(FD).Methods:From April 2017 to March 2018,90 FD patients who met Rome III criteria were enrolled and divided into pure postprandial distress syndrome(PDS)group(27 cases),pure epigastric pain syndrome(EPS)group(35 cases)and PDS overlap EPS(PDS+ EPS)group(28 cases).Hamilton anxiety scale(HAMA),Hamilton depression scale(HAMD),life event scale(LES)and Eysenck'S personality questionnaire(EPQ)were used for evaluation.Results:1.Incidence rates of depression and anxiety of PDS+EPS group were both 100.0%(28/28),which were higher than those of pure PDS group(81.5%,22/27 and 85.2%,23/27),and the differences were statistically significant(x2=7.73 and 11.56,both P<0.05);which were also higher than those of pure EPS group(77.1%,27/35 and 82.9%,29/35),and the differences were statistically significant(x2=9.73and 12.56,both P<0.05).2.Somatic anxiety score and mental anxiety score of PDS+EPS group were 17.26±3.94 and 15.31±3.76,respectively;which were higher than those of pure PDS group(12.45±3.21 and 10.32±2.61)and pure EPS group(13.53±3.86 and 11.23±2.72),and the differences were statistically significant(t-7.62,5.41,8.63 and 7.02;all P<0.01).3.The top three life events in three groups were sleeping habits aIteration(62.2%,59/90),not satisfied with present job 48.9%(44/90)and pressure in work and study 52.2%(47/90).4.The incidence rate of sleeping habits alteration in pure PDS group was 48.1%(13/27),which was lower than that in pure EPS group(65.7%,23/35)and PDS+EPS group(71.4%,20/28),and the differences were statistically significant(x2=5.82 and 6.46,both P<0.05).5.P scale scores,E scale scores and L scale scores of pure PDS group, pure EPS group and PDS+EPS group were no statistical differences(all P>0.05).Normal part of N scale scores of three groups were 29.6%,25.7%and 28.6%,there were no statistical differences(all P>0.05).Low part of N scale scores of three groups were 59.3%,31.4%and 10.7%,with high part 1 1.1%,42.9%and 60.7%,the differences were statistically significant(all P<0.05).Conclusion:The incidence of depression and anxiety of PDS+EPS group is the highest.Somatic anxiety is more obvious than mental anxiety in PDS+EPS group and pure EPS group, most with sleep events, not satisfied with present job and pressure in work and study.Low emotional stability is common in three groups.
