[Objective] By the observation of clinical efficacy of Quyu Zhitong Powder treatment of thoracolumbar compression fracture PKP postoperative pain,to make an objective evaluation of its clinical applicability and safety. In order to explore the unique advantages of traditional Chinese medicine in clinical treatment, enrich clinical treatment methods, and better alleviate patients’ pain.[Methods] The cases were from December 2017 to November 2018 in Department of Orthopedics and Traumatology,Third Affiliated Hospital of Yunnan University of Traditional Chinese Medicine.86 cases met the standard were divided into treatment group and control group by random number table method.Five cases dropped out,41 cases in the remaining treatment group and 40 cases in the control group. Both groups were given the same general treatment.Including: one group(20 times a day)lumbar and dorsal muscle functional exercise, once a day(15 minutes a time)with medium frequency pulsed electricity, intravenous drip of Xueshuantong injection 450 mg qd,intravenous drip of Gugua extractivesinject 100 mg qd.The treatment group was treated with Quyu Zhitong Powder on the 1st,3rd,5th,7th,9th,11 th and 13 th day after operation. Both groups were observed at the 1st,3rd,6th,10 th,14th day after operation, and the degree of tenderness and conscious pain in lumbar and back(supraspinal spine, paraspinal spine, iliolumbar triangle, gluteal epithelial nerve area)were also given JOA score.Through statistical analysis of the indicators of the final two groups of data, the effectiveness and safety of Quyu Zhitong Powder in the treatment of pain after PKP for thoracolumbar vertebral compression fracture were evaluated objectively.[Results](1)After comparative analysis of the observation data of patients with thoracolumbar vertebral compression fracture pain after PKP,there was no significant difference in gender, age and operative segment between the two groups(P > 0.05).There was no significant difference in VAS score, number of tenderness points and JOA score on the first day after operation(P > 0.05).(2)There were significant differences in VAS score, number of tenderness points and JOA score between the two groups at each observation time point(3,6,7,10 and 14days)after treatment(P < 0.05).(3)There were significant differences in VAS scores, tenderness points and JOA scores between the two groups before and after treatment(P < 0.05).(4)The total curative effect of the two groups: the cure rate of the treatment group(external application of traditional Chinese medicine group)was 7.32%,the marked efficiency was 58.54%,the effective rate was 34.14%,and the ineffective rate was0%.The cure rate, marked efficiency, effective rate and inefficiency rate of the control group(group without traditional Chinese medicine)were 0%,10.00%,77.50% and 12.50%,respectively.The curative effect of the treatment group was better. The difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05).[Conclusion] The study proves that Quyu Zhitong Powder is effective in the treatment of pain after PKP for thoracolumbar compression fracture, and has no adverse reactions. It has obvious effect in early reduction of postoperative pain, improvement of low back pain and tenderness point.
