Clinical Study Of Wenfei Huatan Decoction In Treating Acute Exacerbation Of Chronic Obstructive Pulmonary Disease (Turbid Obstructive Lung Syndrome)

Objective:To observe the effects of Wenfei Huatan Decoction on TCM syndrome,serum inflammation index,blood gas analysis and lung function in patients with acute exacerbation of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease（Turbid obstructive lung syndrome）.To evaluate the clinical efficacy of the soup in the treatment of patients with AECOPD（Turbid obstructive lung syndrome）.Methods:Sixty patients with AECOPD（Turbid obstructive lung syndrome）who met the inclusion criteria were divided into treatment group and control group by random number table method.All patients were treated with Western medicine.The treatment group was treated with Wenfei Huatan Decoction.After 2 weeks of treatment,the patient’s TCM syndrome,inflammatory index（WBC,NEU%,NLR,CRP,PCT,ESR）,blood gas analysis（PaO₂,PaCO₂）,lung function（FEV₁%Pred,FVC,FEV₁/FVC）were observed.The changes in the study of Wenfei Huatan Decoction on the treatment of patients with AECOPD（Turbid obstructive lung syndrome）.Results:After treatment,the total effective rate（86.7%）of the treatment group was better than that of the control group（73.3%）.TCM syndromes（wheeze,cough,cough,chest tightness,poor appetite,abdominal fullness,burnout and fatigue）were more effective than before treatment（P<0.05）.The improvement of the treatment group was significantly higher than that of the control group（P<0.05）.The levels of inflammatory markers（WBC,NEU%,NLR,CRP,PCT,ESR）in the two groups were significantly lower than those before treatment（P<0.05）.The level of inflammatory markers in the treatment group was significantly lower than that in the control group（P<0.05）.PaO₂increased and PaCO₂ decreased after treatment in both groups.Hypoxia and hypercapnia were better than those before treatment（P<0.05）,and the treatment group was significantly better than the control group（P<0.05）.The lung function of the two groups was improved compared with that before treatment（P<0.05）,and the improvement of the treatment group was significantly higher than that of the control group（P<0.05）.Conclusion:Wenfei Huayu Decoction combined with Western medicine routine treatment of AECOPD（Turbid obstructive lung syndrome）is excellent in improving clinical symptoms,reducing hypoxia and hypercapnia,reducing airway inflammation,improving alveolar ventilation and improving lung function.It may be related to the suppression of the large number of inflammatory markers such as WBC,NEU,CRP and PCT during the development of COPD disease.No adverse reactions were found during the treatment.
