Clinical Study Of Linggui Zhugan Formula Granule For Heart Failure With Reduced Left Ventricular Ejection Fraction With Yang Deficiency Water Flood Type

ObjectiveThe clinical efficacy of Linggui Zhugan formula granule for heart failure with reduced left ventricular ejection fraction(HF-REF)with yang deficiency water flood type was studied,to provide clinical basis for the application of formula granule,and to find an ideal dosage form for exerting the advantages of traditional Chinese medicine in the treatment of HF-REF.Methods62 cases of HF-REF with yang deficiency water flood type were chosen from internal medicine..department of Sanshui Hospital of Foshan Hospital of Traditional Chinese Medicine during May 2017 to May 2018.One case was exfoliated during treatment,and the other were randomly divided into two groups,of which 30 cases were treated with conventional therapy as control group,the treatment group of 31 cases were given Linggui Zhugan formula granule more,for a total of 4 weeks.Two groups of patients were observed for Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM)syndrome Effect,Minnesota Quality of Life Score,cardiac function grading,Six minutes' walk test,left ventricular ejection fraction(LVEF),Left ventricular end-diastolic diameter(LVDd)and amino-terminal pro-brain natriuretic peptide(NT-proBNP)before and after treatment.Results1.Curative Effect of TCM Syndrome:After treatment,the total effective rate was 93.54%in treatment group,better than73.33%in control group(P<0.05).2.Individual symptoms of TCM:After treatment,the treatment group was prevail over the control group in improving palpitations,wheezing,tiredness and fatigue,facial edema,chest tightness,fear of cold limbs,abdominal distension(P<0.05,P<0.001),while there was no statistical difference between the two groups in terms of spontaneous perspiration,dry mouth,cough,cough,cough,less urine,irritability and restlessness(P>0.05).3.Comparison of TCM syndrome points,Minnesota Quality of Life Score and Six minutes walking distance:In the two groups,there were statistically differences between before and after treatment in the same group for TCM syndrome points,Minnesota Quality of Life Score and Six minutes walking distance(P<0.05),and Compared with the control group,the treatment group improved more obviously after treatment(P<0.05).4.Comparison of cardiac functions grading:After treatment,the total effective rate was 90.32%in the treatment group,better than 70.00%in control group(P<0.05).5.Comparison of LVEF and NT-proBNP values:After treatment,The LVEF and NT-proBNP values were improved in both treatment group and control group(P<0.05),and the treatment group were superior to the control group(P<0.05).6.Comparison of LVDd values:Compared with LVDd before and after treatment in the two groups,the treatment group improved slightly after treatment(P<0.05),while the control group did not improve significantly(P>0.05).There was no significant difference in LVDD between the two groups before and after treatment(P>0.05).ConclusionLinggui Zhugan formula granule was an effective therapy for the HF-REF with yang deficiency water flood type.It can effective at reducing symptoms of TCM,improving cardiac function and quality of life,improving the level of LVEF and NT-proBNP.It is safe and convenient for clinical use and can be used as an ideal dosage form for exerting the advantages of traditional Chinese medicine in the treatment of HF-REF.
