Based on previous research results on spiritual beliefs, altruism, attitudes towards posthumous organ donation, etc, this project composed a model on how spiritual factors affects willingness to talk about posthumous organ donation with family members.Organ shortage is a global issue due to the lack of available organs. The problem of organ shortage is obvious with the ratio of need and organ availability is about 1:150.Previous researches found that spiritual values have an important impact on health behavior. The unique cultural environment in China has a significant influence on people’s decision of posthumous organ donation as well as the need to have an intact body after death. Therefore, this project takes spiritual values as the subject to discuss its influence on attitudes towards posthumous organ donation and willingness to talk about posthumous organ donation with family members. The role of PSAs and religiosity is also discussed in this project. This project analyzes how willingness to discuss posthumous organ donation with family members is influenced by spiritual beliefs and altruism. This project also discusses intermediating role of attitudes toward posthumous organ donation.358 valid questionnaires were collected through both ways of online and offline, data analysis was made based on the data gathered using SPSS 21.0.Several conclusions are as follows:(1)spiritual beliefs have significant impact on attitudes towards posthumous organ donation, spiritual concerns have significant correlations to negative attitudes, while spiritual connections have significant correlations to positive attitudes;(2)Altruism has negative significant correlations to negative attitudes and positive significant correlations to willingness to talk about posthumous organ donation with family members;(3)Both positive and negative attitudes have significant correlations to willingness to talk to family while positive attitudes have more significant correlations to willingness;(4)Attitudes play a partially intermediating role to the impact of altruism towards willingness to talk to family;(5)The number of PSAs one have watched have significant correlations to willingness to talk to family.People who have watched 4 to 6 PSAs about posthumous organ donation are likely to talk to family most.Religiosity also has significant correlations to willingness to talk to family.Followers of Confucianism,Buddhism,Daoism and Catholicism are more willing to talk to family than followers of Islamism;(6)Registered donator and non-registered donator shows significant differences on spiritual concern, attitudes towards posthumous organ donation and willingness to talk to family.
