[Objective]: To systematically evaluate the clinical efficacy of primary suture and T tube drainage for laparoscopic common bile duct exploration for common bile duct stones by meta-analysis.[Methods]: PubMed,Cochrane Library,Medline and CBM biomedical literature databases were searched by computer.Literatures published from January 2010 to December 2018 on the comparison of the efficacy of primary suture and T tube drainage after laparoscopic common bile duct exploration for common bile duct stones were searched.Literatures were screened according to the inclusion and exclusion criterias.Specific data of operation time, recovery time of gastrointestinal function, hospitalization time after operation, hospitalization expenses, complications after operation(including bile leakage, biliary peritonitis, etc).Data were meta-analyzed by Revman 5.3 statistical software provided by Cochrane Library.Data were analyzed with forest maps and publication bias was analyzed with funnel maps.[Results]: A total of 11 literatures including 1100 patients were included in this study.Statistical analysis showed that PS group was superior to TD group in operation time, hospitalization time, recovery time of gastrointestinal function, and cost. There was no significant difference in incidence of biliary fistula, recurrence rate of calculi and other biliary tract-related complication between the two groups.[Conclusion]: This meta-analysis shows that PS group has more advantages than TD group, and the application of primary suture can be considered in clinical use.
