Objectives Seek a safe and effective treatment prescription by observing the clinical efficacy of Additional Prescription of Zhi Zhu Pills(Zhi,an abbreviation of zh?shí(Chinese:??),means fructus aurantii immaturus;Zhu,an abbreviation of bái zhú,means atractylodes)in treating infantile anorexia,i.e.dysfunction of spleen in transportation and transformation;explore the basis and principles of its prescription formulation to provide more ideas for clinical treatment of infantile anorexia. Methods From January 2018 to January 2019,the study included 80 cases of anorectic children with infantile anorexia, who were receiving treatment at Pediatric Clinic in The First Affiliated Hospital of Anhui University of Chinese Medicine. All cases were randomly divided into control group and treatment group, with 40 cases in each group. There were3 dropouts in the treatment group and 2 dropouts in the control group.Children in the treatment group were prescribed Additional Prescription of Zhi Zhu Pills for oral administration, and those in the control group were prescribed compound vitamin B tablets and tetralogy of viable bifidobacterium tablets for oral administration. Before and after treatment, further statistical analysis was also carried out by means of quantized integration for their signs and syndromes,as well as the measurement of hemoglobin content.Results(1)For clinical efficacy of 37 cases in the treatment group,8 cases were cured;21cases had obvious treatment effect;6 cases did have treatment effect, and 2 cases had no effect of treatment. The total effective rate was 94.59%.For clinical efficacy of 38 cases in the control group,4 cases were cured;15 cases had obvious treatment effect;13 cases did have treatment effect, and 6 cases had no effect of treatment. The total effective rate was 84.21%.The treatment group's curative effect was proved to be better than that of the control group through statistical analysis(P<0.05).(2)Improvement of main symptoms:Cases in both two groups had improvement in appetite, food intake, belching, mental state and bowel movement.A better clinical efficacy in appetite improvement was observed for treatment group than that for the control group. In addition, cases in the treatment group still had improvement in complexion, nausea and vomiting, hiccups and salivation symptoms. It was not considered that the control group had this effect. All cases had no increase of body weight.(3)Hemoglobin content:The hemoglobin values of the two groups before and after treatment were statistically analyzed(P>0.05),but it was not considered that the two treatment methods can increase the hemoglobin content in children. Conclusions Dysfunction of spleen in transportation and transformation is a common syndrome of anorexia in children.Strengthening spleen to promote transportation, with reinforcement and elimination in combination, can help restore spleen and stomach function of transportation and transformation, which is expected to bring a better clinical efficacy. The study proves that Zhi Zhu Pills has a definite clinical efficacy in treating dysfunction of spleen in transportation and transformation, and no adverse reaction occurs during medication, which shall provide more ideas and methods for the treatment of infantile anorexia. |
