ObjectiveTo explore the factors of gleason score of prostate cancer elevating from biopsy to radical prostatectomy.MethodsA total of 101 patients diagnosed as prostate cancer were counted form January 1,2012 to December 1,2018 in the de--partment of urology of First Hospital of Jilin University. All p--atinets were confirmed through transrectal prostate biopsy guided by ultrasound and received radical prostatectomy. The clinical and pathologic parameters including age, total prostate specific antigen(t PSA),prostate volume(PV),prostate-specific antigen density(PSAD),neutrophil to lymphocyte ratio(NLR),percent of positive cores(PPC),cancer percentage in pr--ostate biopsy specimen(CPPB),cancer percentage in radic--al prostatectomy(CPRP),positive margin(PM),perineural invasion in prostate biopsy specimen(PNI),stage(p TNM).All patients were divided into two groups according to whether GS upgrading or not.We than analyze the difference between GS upgrading and no-upgrading and find out factors of GS upgrading.ResultAmong the 101 patients, there were 63(62%)cases with GS no-upgrading and 38 cases(38%)with GS upgrading.Weconducted variance analysis, nonparametric test and chi-square test to assess the risks resulting in change of GS.And stati--stically significant differences could be found in prostate vol--ume(PV),cancer percentage in radical prostatectomy(CPRP).According to univariate analysis, prostate volume(PV),cancer percentage in radical prostatectomy(CPRP)were factors of GSupgrading. In multivariable analysis, prostate volume(PV),can--cer percentage in radical prostatectomy(CPRP)and percent of positive cores were the factors of GS upgrading. Conclusion:There is a pathological upgrading after radical prostatect--omy.The GS of biopsy may underestimate the actual prosta--te cancer GS.Prostate volume(PV),cancer percentage in radiccal prostatectomy(CPRP)and percent of positive cores were the independent factors of GS upgrading.
