Objective: To observe the clinical efficacy of Kechuanping granules in children with cold asthma in the onset of bronchial asthma, and effect on serum LTB4 and urine LTE4 levels. To provide a reliable basis for the treatment of bronchial asthma in children with Kechuanping granules, and to explore the related mechanism of Kechuanping granules in the treatment of cold asthma in children with bronchial asthma. Methods: According to the criteria of this study,a total of 60 children with bronchial asthma from December 1,2017 to December 31,2018 in our hospital were selected. They were randomly divided into 31 cases of Kechuanping granules observation group and 29 cases of control group. Both groups were treated with Western medicine routinely, and the observation group was given Kechuanping granules orally. After 7 days, the differences of the comprehensive efficacy,TCM syndrome total score and main syndrome scores of the two groups were observed;and the serum LTB4 and urine LTE4 levels were measured by Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay before and after treatment. Results: 1.Total efficacy: After treatment, the observation group was cured in 10 patients, markedly effective in 12 patients, effective in 7 patients, and ineffective in 2 patients, with an effective rate of 93.5%;in the control group,8 patients were cured,9 were effective,7 were effective,5 were ineffective, and the effective rate was 82.8%.The efficiency between the two groups was compared,P<0.05,and the difference was statistically significant.2.Total score of TCM syndromes:Compared with before treatment, the total scores of TCM syndromes in the two groups were lower,P<0.05,and the differences were statistically significant. After treatment, the total scores of TCM syndromes between the two groups were compared,P<0.05,indicating that the observation group’s total score of TCM syndromes was more significantly lower than that in the control group.3.Total score of the main syndromes of TCM: The scores of the four main syndromes of cough, asthma, wheezing and chest tightness were lower than those before treatment,P<0.05.The scores of the three main syndromes of cough, asthma and wheezing were compared between the two groups,P<0.05,and the differences were statistically significant. The scores of chest tightness syndrome between the two groups were compared,P>0.05,the difference was not statistically significant.4.Levels of serum LTB4 and urinary LTE4: Serum LTB4 and urinary LTE4 levels were lower in the two groups after treatment,P<0.05,suggesting that both treatments can reduce serum LTB4 and urinary LTE4 levels in children.Serum LTB4 and urine LTE4 levels in the Kechuanping granules treatment group were significantly lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).There was a positive correlation between serum LTB4 and urine LTE4(r=0.32,P<0.05).5.Safety observation: A total of 31 patients in the observation group were enrolled in the study. No patients were withdrawn during the trial, and no adverse reactions were observed. Before and after treatment,31 children with bronchial asthma were treated with liver and kidney function, urine routine and stool routine, tests showed that no abnormal indicators were found.Kechuanping granules are safe and reliable in the clinical treatment of children with bronchial asthma. Conclusion: 1.Kechuanping granules can significantly improve the TCM syndrome scores of children with cold asthma during bronchial asthma attack and improve clinical efficacy.2.Kechuanping granules can reduce serum LTB4 and urinary LTE4 levels in children, and its mechanism may be related to the reduction of LTs levels in children, which provides experimental evidence for the clinical application of Kechuanping granules.3.There is a positive correlation between serum LTB4 levels and urine LTE4 levels in children with asthma.Urine LTE4 as a non-invasive method can better understand the level of LTs in children with asthma, which provide a more convenient method of examination tor the clinical application and follow-up studies.
