Objective:MSI2 is highly expressed in solid tumors such as breast, liver, ovary, cervical, lung, colon cancer, etc.but its expression in tongue cancer has not been seen so far. This article aims to investigate the relationship between MSI2 protein and the development, prognosis of tongue squamous cell carcinoma. And find effective markers for early detection and early intervention in TSCC.Methods:(1)Immunohistochemical staining for the expression of MSI2 in tongue squamous cell carcinoma and tongue ulcer tissue. The Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, the First Affiliated Hospital of Nanchang University, from January 2014 to March 2016,29 cases of tongue cancer specimens and oral ulcer tissue specimens after surgery(first surgery)were resected(all confirmed by our pathology department),and immunohistochemistry was used to observe the expression of MSI2 in tongue cancer tissue specimens and tongue ulcer tissue specimens.(2)Using chi-square test to detect the relationship between the expression of MSI2 in tongue squamous cell carcinoma and clinical pathological parameters of tongue squamous cell carcinoma. This paper uses SPSS20.0 statistical software for analysis. To observe the relationship between the abnormal expression of MSI2 and the clinicopathological parameters of patients with tongue squamous cell carcinoma, and its relationship with the prognosis of patients.Results:1.The positive expression rate of MSI2 in cancer tissues of tongue squamous cell carcinoma was 62.1%.The positive expression rate of MSI2 in tongue ulcer tissue was 10.3%.The expression of cancer tissue was significantly higher than that of ulcer tissue.Chi-square test results(P=0.001)shows that the difference in expression is statistically significant.2.The expression of MSI2 protein in cancer tissues was only positively correlated with cancer recurrence(?~2=7.975,P=0.0047).There was no significant correlation between other clinical pathological parameters with the expression of MSI2 protein.(patient gender, age, tumor size, lymph node metastasis, presence or absence of nerve infiltration, tumor infiltration)3.MSI2 protein expression was significantly associated with postoperative survival in patients with tongue cancer.(Graphpad prism 7.0 Log-rank test P=0.0229)Conclusion:1.The positive rate of MSI2 protein in tongue squamous cell carcinoma is significantly higher than that of tongue ulcer tissue, which can be used as a specific molecular detection index for tongue squamous cell carcinoma.2.MSI2 protein expression was only positively correlated with cancer recurrence(?~2=7.975,P=0.0047),and was significantly correlated with postoperative survival of patients with tongue cancer. It can be used as a prognostic reference marker for tongue squamous cell carcinoma.
