Research On The Relationship Between Character Strengths And Time Management Of Nursing Undergraduate

Objective1.To understand the current situation and influencing factors of Character Strengths of undergraduate nursing students;2.To understand the current situation and influencing factors of Time Management of undergraduate nursing students;3.Explore the relationship between Character Strengths and Time Management and its mechanism.MethodsFive undergraduate nursing schools in Anhui province are selected by using Chinese Virtues Questionnaire(CVQ)and Adolescence Time Management Disposition Scale(ATMD)in a Stratified Cluster sampling.The grade of each school is listed as a sampling unit and the class is listed as the"Cluster".Two"Cluster"are selected from each grade,and a total of 1200 nursing students are surveyed.???±s is used to analyze the current situation of Character Strengths and Time Management,ANOVA and Multiple Regression Analysis are used to explore its influencing factors,and Correlation Analysis,Multiple Regression Analysis and Structural Equation Model are used to explore its relationship and mechanism.Results1.The total average scores of Character Strengths of undergraduate nursing students is 3.540±0.375,The Relationship is 3.822±0.425,the Vitality is 3.415±0.436,the Conscientiousness is 3.372±0.409.There are significant differences in Character Strengths of undergraduate nursing students in grade,gender,single child,residence,parents'education level,family rearing style,per capita monthly income,student leaders,activities,hobbies,physical exercise.2.The total average scores of Time Management of undergraduate nursing students is 3.362±0.404,the Sense of Time Value is 3.632±0.530,the Time Monitoring is 3.228±0.441,the Sense of Time Efficacy is 3.414±0.437.There are significant differences in the Time Management of undergraduate nursing students in grade,gender,single child,father's education level,family rearing style,per capita monthly income,student leaders,collective activities,hobbies,physical exercise.3.There is a significant positive correlation between Character Strengths and Time Management(r between 0.361 and 0.638,P<0.01).Multiple Regression Analysis results show that Conscientiousness,Relationship and Vitality predict Time Management(R~2=0.454,F=72.919,P<0.001),the total interpretation is 32.7%,and the control variable is 12.7%.Relationship and Conscientiousness predict the Sense of Time Value(R~2=0.240,F=34.303,P<0.001),the interpretation rate of Relationship is18.5%and the control variable is 4.6%.The Time Monitoring is predicted by Conscientiousness and Vitality(R~2=0.445,F=64.212,P<0.001),the interpretation rate of Conscientiousness and control variables is 28.8%and 14.8%respectively. Conscientiousness,Relationship and Vitality predict the Sense of Time Efficacy(R~2=0.394,F=63.984,P<0.001),with the interpretation rate of 24.6%for Conscientiousness and 9.8%for control variables.Structural Equation Model is established with Relationship to the sense of time value,Conscientiousness to Time Monitoring and the Sense of Time Efficacy.The model fit index of Structural Equation Model is RMR=0.024,RMSEA=0.076,GFI=0.820,NFI=0.844,IFI=0.862,CFI=0.861,PGFI=0.699,PCFI=0.782,PNFI=0.767,CMIN/DF=7.426.The model fit is good,and the coefficients of each channel are statistically significant.Conclusion1.The Character Strengths of the undergraduate nursing students is medium,and Conscientiousness is poor,especially low level of self-management,so it is necessary to focus on cultivating the undergraduate nursing students'self-management.2.The Time Management of the undergraduate nursing students is medium,and the Time Monitoring is poor,especially in setting goals and planning.3.Relationship is an important factor affecting the sense of time value,and cultivating Relationship is an effective way to improve undergraduate nursing students'Sense of Time Value.Conscientiousness is an important factor affecting the sense of time value,and cultivating Conscientiousness is an effective way to improve their Time Monitoring and the Sense of Time Efficacy..
