| ObjectiveAs the increasing incidence of malignant lymphoma,the status of chemotherapy is constantly raising.Myelosuppression as the most serious side effect of chemotherapy has a direct effect on the prognosis and the quality of life of patients,more and more study has been paid attention to its prevention and treatment.Modern scholars classify it as "consumptive disease" and "blood deficiency" in traditional Chinese medicine.The main pathogenesis is the deficiency of spleen and kidney.The treatment method should be based on Yin-nourishing and kidney-tonifying,spleen-strengthening and Blood-generating.Modern research has confirmed that Paste Recipe can reduce the toxic effect of chemotherapeutic drugs on bone marrow by many aspects and multiple targets,increase the sensitivity of the body to chemotherapy drugs,and affect the prognosis of the disease.This paper aims to observe the curative effect and safety of Yin-nourishing and Blood-generating Paste Recipe for Post-chemotherapy Bone Marrow Depression in Malignant lymphoma patients through clinical research,and provide clinical evidence for the prevention and treatment of the side effects of chemotherapy,in order to explore a new effective way to improve the quality of life for patients receiving chemotherapy.MethodsIn this prospective observational cohort study,from patients with malignant lymphoma chemotherapy admitted in the Department of Hematology,First Affiliated Hospital of Guangzhou University of Traditional Chinese Medicine from August 2018 to February 2019,106 ones who met the inclusion criteria were collected and divided into 2 groups:treatment group and control group.Both groups were given with clinical standardized chemotherapy.The treatment group was treated with both Yin-nourishing and Blood-generating Paste Recipe and Chinese medicine decoction from clinical pathways,the control group was treated only with Chinese medicine decoction from clinical pathways.Twenty-one days constituted one treatment course.The incidence of bone marrow depression was observed after chemotherapy,also the changes of hemogram(including white blood cells,hemoglobin,and platelet levels),and the hepatic and renal function,blood transfusion,use of Granulocyte colony stimulating factor during chemotherapy between two groups before and after treatment were record.Additionally,the Karnofsky scores,clinical symptoms scores were also investigated in two groups of patients to evaluate the curative effect and safety of Yin-nourishing and Blood-generating Paste Recipe.Results1.The frequency of ?-? myelosuppression in the treatment group was significantly lower than that in the control group after chemotherapy(P<0.05).2.Two weeks after chemotherapy,the levels of peripheral blood leukocytes and platelets in the treatment group were significantly higher than those in the control group.(P<0.05).3.Compared with the control group,the levels of peripheral blood cells continued to rise in the treatment group three weeks after chemotherapy,the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05);4.For patients with myelosuppression after chemotherapy,the treatment group was better than the control group in improving the main clinical symptoms such as fatigue,palpitations,shortness of breath,dizziness,poor appetite and weak waist and knees.The difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).5.The Karnofsky scores of the two groups were compared after treatment.It turns out that the improvement of the functional status of the human body in the treatment group was significantly better than that of the control group.(P<0.05);Conclusion1.Yin-nourishing and Blood-generating Paste Recipe has a certain protective effect on the bone marrow of malignant lymphoma patients receiving chemotherapy,which can reduce the occurrence and level of myelosuppression to some extent.2.Yin-nourishing and Blood-generating Paste Recipe combined with chemotherapy can promote the recovery of bone marrow suppression after chemotherapy,accelerate the raise of peripheral blood cells after the chemo,shorten the time of bone marrow suppression,and thus ensure the smooth progress of chemotherapy.3.The application of Yin-nourishing and Blood-generating Paste Recipe has better effects in improving main clinical symptoms of patients with myelosuppression after the chemo,such as:fatigue,palpitations,shortness of breath,dizziness,poor appetite and weak waist and knees,can significantly improve the life quality of those patients.4.Yin-nourishing and Blood-generating Paste Recipe has a good taste and is convenient to take.No related side effect was found,its safety was guaranteed.It is accepted and preferred by most patients.5.According to the observed results of this experiment,a new clinical thought for treatment of myelosuppression after chemotherapy in malignant lymphoma by using the method of Yin-nourishing and kidney-tonifying,spleen-strengthening and Blood-generating was discovered,and the effectiveness and safety of applying Yin-nourishing and Blood-generating Paste Recipe in patients with malignant lymphoma after chemotherapy was verified. |
