ObjectiveTo explore the risk factors related to recurrence of stage ??? colon cancer patients after radical resection and to evaluate the value of serum carcinoembryonic antigen(CEA)and carbohydrate antigen 19-9(CA19-9)in predicting and monitoring the recurrence of stage ??? colon cancer patients after radical resection.MethodsThe clinicopathological and follow-up data collected from patients who underwent radical resection of stage ??? colon cancer from 2012 to 2013 were analyzed retrospectively, the risk factor was evaluated by the Cox proportional hazards model. The patients were divided into 3 groups based on the results of serum CEA and CA19-9 before and after surgery.Results85 patients were recurred during the follow-up period, multivariate Cox proportional risk regression model revealed that lymph node metastasis,CEA elevation,CA19-9 elevation were the independent risk factors for recurrence after radical resection of stage ??? colon cancer. The recurrence free survival rate in the CEA(H)group was lower than in the CEA(HN)group and CEA(N)group, the recurrence free survival rate in the CA19-9(H)group was lower than in the CA19-9(HN)group and CA19-9(N)group.Conclusion1.Multivariate analysis showed lymph node metastasis,CEA elevation,CA19-9 elevation were independent risk factors for recurrence in stage ??? colon cancer patients.2.Serum CEA and CA19-9 can be used as a prediction factor in stage ??? colon cancer patients relapse and assist the TNM stage for judging prognosis?...
