Objective In this experiment,carboxymethyl chitosan and silver ions were complexed by vacuum freeze-drying to form Silver Carboxymethyl Chitosan(CMCT-Ag~+),and added to Fuji?glass ionomer cement with different mass fractions,in order to develop a new composite material which can enhance the antibacterial performance of Fuji?glass ionomer cement without affecting its compressive strength,bond strength and microleakage,it provides experimental basis for the application of oral clinical anticaries.Methods Silver Carboxymethyl Chitosan with a mass ratio of 0%,0.1%,0.3%,0.5%,0.7%,and 0.9%was uniformly added to the powder of Fuji?glass ionomer cement by ball milling,and labeled as six groups A,B,C,D,E,F,of which group A is the negative control group,the other five groups are the experimental group.After routine resuscitation of streptococcus mutans was identified as pure culture,a single colony was taken on the medium and cultured under anaerobic conditions for use.Observing the antibacterial effect of test piece on streptococcus mutans using inhibition zone method.The antibacterial rate was tested by laminating method,and the long-term bacteriostasis of the control group and each experimental group was detected after three months under the premise of simulating the oral environment.The compressive strength and bond strength of Silver Carboxymethyl Chitosan glass ionomer cement with different mass ratios were tested by universal material testing machine.Combined with the above results,the0%group and the CMCT-Ag~+glass ionomer cement test piece with good bacteriostasis,compressive strength and bond strength were used to fill a a type of hole of the prepared second deciduous teeth.After 24 hours of staining with 2%methylene blue solution,microleakage was observed under a stereo microscope and statistical analysis was performed.Results Compared with the control group,the antibacterial activity of the glass ionomer cement is enhanced with the increase of the mass ratio of Silver Carboxymethyl Chitosan.When the mass fraction was 0.7%,the antibacterial property reached over 90%and had good long-term bacteriostasis..The bond strength of each experimental group and the microleakage after three months were not significantly different from the control group,and there was no statistical significance.The compressive strength is the highest when the mass fraction is 0.7%.Conclusions 1.Silver Carboxymethyl Chitosan can enhance the antibacterial property of glass ionomer cement,and the bacteriostasis of glass ionomer cement gradually increases with the increase of the mass fraction of carboxymethyl chitosan silver.2.When the mass fraction of Silver Carboxymethyl Chitosan added to the glass ionomer cement is 0.7%,it has the ideal antibacterial property,the compressive strength is the best,and has no effect on the bond strength and microleakage.
