Objective: To retrospectively analyze the clinical characteristics of patients with neuropsychiatric lupus and related risk factors of neuropsychiatric lupus,so as to improve the understanding of neuropsychiatric lupus. Methods:A retrospectively study was used to analyze the patients in the second hospital of Hebei medical university from January 2014 to December 2018.All NPSLE patients fulfilling updated 1999 ACR criteria and defined as study group. To defined the hospitalized SLE patients at the same time who without neuropsychiatric syndrome as control group.Data were extracted from medical records and analyze the clinical features in such two groups. Results:Thrombocytopenia, elevated urinary protein, hypertriglyceridemia, hypercholesterolemia, elevated low-density lipopro-tein,decreased C3,decreased C4,and rRNP positive were significantly different between the study group and the control group.Logistic regression analysis showed that hypertriglyceridemia,Decreased C3,and Positive anti-rRNP antibody were risk factors for neuropsychiatric lupus. The SLEDAI score of the study group was significantly higher than the control group. The incidence of cerebrospinal fluid pressure was 55.2% and cerebrospinal fluid protein was 46.6% in the study group. The positive rate of electroencepha-logram,head CT and head MRI was 45.5%,53.5% and 87.5% respectively. The incidence of headache was highest among the 19 types of neuropsychi-atric lupus(62%).There were 27 patients with two types of neuropsychiatric lupus and above, accounting for 38%.Conclusions:1.Neuropsychiatric lupus mostly occurs in the active stage of the disease2.Hypertriglyceridemia,Decreased C3,and Positive anti-rRNP antibody are risk factors of neuropsychiatric lupus.3.Head MRI has the highest positive rate in neuropsychiatric lupus imaging, which is the preferred examination method.Head MRI should be performed as early as possible when neuropsychiatric lupus is suspected.4.Of the 19 types of neuropsychiatric lupus, headache is the most common.
