| Objective: To assess the changes of radiofrequency catheter ablation on left atrial structure and function in patients with paroxysmal supraventricular tachycardia(PSVT),so as to guide the clinical treatment of PSVT.Method:The study group consisted of 99 patients(44 men),in whom successful RF ablation of slow pathway(60 patients)or accessory pathway(39 patients)was performed at the Second Hospital of Hebei Medical University between April 2017-December 2018.All the patients had echocardiographic study before and after radiofrequency ablation at 1day and 1 month.Results:1.No difference in general characteristics of AVNRT group and AVRT group.2.Pre-ablation,A peak which was left atrium systolic function index in AVNRT group and AVRT group was lower than control group(P<0.05).The Left atrial strain(S),Left ventricular systolic(SRs),Left ventricular diastolic early(SRe)and Left atrial systolic(SRa)before RFCA were significantly lower than those in control group(P<0.05).3.LAMD which was left atrium structure decreased in the AVNRT group one month after RFCA(P<0.05),and reach the level of the control group. The LA function indexes(E peak,A peak,LAEF)increased in the AVNRT group one month after RFCA(P<0.05)and E peak and LAEF reached the level of the control group;whereas in the AVRT group only E peak increased one month after RFCA(P<0.05),but did not reach the level of the control group.4.In AVNRT group,E peak and LAEF of one day after RFCA was a lowing trend than that before RFCA,but not statistically significant(P>0.05);whereas in the AVRT group not had the lowing trend.Conclusions:1.PSVT can influence the atrial structure and function; The left atrial structure and function had partly improved after radiofrequency ablation.2.AVNRT subgroup was more significant than AVRT subgroup, consideration may be related to the mechanism. |
