Objective1.The rs-fMRI Bold techniques and various analytical methods(ALFF,ReHo,rsFC)were used to observe the difference of resting state brain functional magnetic resonance imaging in CPSD group and HC group.2.Using rs-fMRI Bold technique and various analytical methods(ALFF,ReHo,rsFC)to observe the effect of electroacupuncture at Shenmen and Neiguan points on the resting state brain function of HC group.3.The rs-fMRI Bold technique and various analytical methods(ALFF,ReHo,rsFC)were used to explore the effect of electroacupuncture at Shenmen and Neiguan points on the changes of functional magnetic resonance imaging in the CPSD group.Methods1.43 patients with chronic partial sleep deprivation(CPSD)(24 male,19 female)and 48 healthy control(HC)(25 male,23 female)received the first resting-state functional magnetic resonance Bold scan and cognitive functional behavioral scale test(ANT tests)before acupuncture.ALFF and ReHo methods,two independent sample T-tests of the SPM10 software were performed on data of the two groups toobtain the differential brain regions images of ALFF and ReHo respectively.The correlation between the behavior and differential brain regions in the CPSD group were performed by Person correlation analysis.Some representative differential brain regions were selected as seed points to establish whole brain function and getting the function connection diagram.2.48 healthy controls were electroacupunctured at the bilateral Shenmen with Neiguan points,and continued to stimulate for 30 minutes after "De Qi",then rested for 20 minutes for second fMRI scan.The data were analyzed by ALFF and ReHo methods.The results of the two analysis methods were analyzed by paired T test with SPM10 software to obtains the differential brain regions of ALFF and ReHo respectively.Some representative differential brain regions were selected as seed points to establish the whole brain functional connection,and get functionl connection diagram.3.43 response time was prolonged,the leakage rate were increased and the correct rate was decreased by CPSD.The pearson correlation analysis suggested that the value of ALFF of the parahippocampus was positively correlated with the correct rate(r=0.637,P=0.001),negative correlation with the leakage rate(r=-0.427,P=0.047),and the value of ReHo of left Superior frontal gryus was negatived correlation with the reaction time(r=-0.514,P=0.014).Compared with HC group,the higher ALFF in CPSD group,including right cuneus,left inferior temporal gyrus,left amygdala,and so on The lower ALFF value included right parahippocampal gyrus,right precuneus,left parietal gyrus and left thalamus,and so on.The brain regions showed the increased ReHo values included the left amygdala,bilateral middle temporal gyrus and left posterior cingulate,etc.The brain regions showed lower Reho values included left superior frontal gyrus,left thalamus,right middle frontal gyrus and right precuneus.The brain functional connectivity were significantly increased between the right posterior cingulate and the left inferior temporal gyrus,the right precuneus,while decreased between the right posterior cingulate and the left parahippocampal gyrus,the right superior frontal gyrus.The brain functional connectivity were significantly increased between the right precuneus and the left inferior temporal gyrus,the right superior frontal gyrus,while decreased between the right precuneus and the left superior frontal gyrus,the right precentral gyrus.The brain functional connectivity were decreased between the right parahippocampal gyrus and the bilateral posterior central gyrus.2.In the HC group,after electroacupunctured Shenmen compatibility with Neiguan points,the brain area showed increased ALFF values included the left precuneus,the right thalamus,and the right frontal superior gyrus,etc.However,the brain area showed decreased ALFF values included the left amygdala and the right fusiform gyrus,the middle occipital gyrus.The brain regions showed higher ReHo values included the right thalamus,the right parahippocampal gyrus and the left middle frontal gyrus,etc.The brain regions showed lower ReHo values included the right temporal inferior gyrus,the right posterior central gyrus and the left amygdala,etc.The brain funtioanl connectivity between the right inferior frontal gyrus and left posterior central gyrus,left precunenus were significantly increased,while decreased between the right inferior frontal gyrus and right insula,left inferior temportal gyrus.The brain funtioanl connectivity between the left superior frontal gyrus and the bilateral lenticular nucleus,the left middle temporal gyrus were increased,while decreased between the left superior frontal gyrus and the left fusiform gyrus,the right insula lobe.The brain funtioanl connectivity between the left amygdala and the left thalamus,the right cingulate gyrus,the right precuneus were significantly increased,while decreased between the left amygdala and the right superior parietal lobule,the left inferior parietal gyrus.3.In the CPSD group,after electroacupunctured Shenmen compatibility with Neiguan points,the brain area showed increased ALFF values included the left posterior cingulate gyrus,the bilateral precuneus and the right cuneus,while the decreased ALFF values included the left amygdala,the right transverse temporal gyrus,and the right posterior central gyrus,etc.The brain area showed increased ReHo values included the left superior frontal gyrus,the right posterior cingulate gyrus,and the left anterior precentral gyrus,etc,however,the brain areas showed decreased ReHo values included the left posterior central gyrus,the left amygdala,and the right angular gyrus.In the CPSD group,the brain funtioanl connectivity were significantly increased between the left superior frontal gyrus and left inferior temproal gyrus,the left middle temporal gyrus,while deceased between the left superior frontal gyras and the right angular gyras.The brain fumtioanl connectivity were significantly increased between the left amygdala and the left insula lobe,the left supenrior temporal gyrus,the right precuneus,while showed decrease between the left amygdala and the right angular gyrus.The brain funtioanl connectivity were significantly increased between the right posterior cingulate and the left thalamus,the left precuneus,the right middle temporal gyrus,and the inferior frontal gyrus,while decreased between the right posterior cingulate and the right superior temporal gyrus.Conclusion 1.CPSD can cause multiple brain regions dysfunction,including amygdala,parahippocampus,and precuneus,which is the core brain area of the default network and the attention network.On the macro level,it demonstrates the advanced cognitive function(emotion,attention,learning and memory and the execution control)is disordered.2.Electroacupuncturing at Shenmen and Neiguan points can cause a wide-ranged changes in the resting brain function and functional connection of the HC population.The brain area involved may be a targeted brain area for acupuncture to improve sleep stating,3.Electroacupuncturing at Shenmen and Neiguan points may help to improve abnormalities of the resting brain function in the CPSD population,and plays a unique role in regulating emotions,calming nerves and relieving stress to improve sleep stating.
