| Objective:(1)To develop a nurse-led follow-up checklist of patients with laryngeal cancer after surgery.(2)To evaluate the nurse-led follow-up checklist in a sample of patients with laryngeal cancer after surgery.Methods:(1)Through literature review,semi-structured interview and improved Delphi expert consultation,a nurse-led checklist of postoperative follow-up for laryngeal cancer was developed.(2)96 cases of postoperative laryngeal cancer patients who met the inclusion criteria was divided into two groups randomly by software.48 cases each. The 48 patients in the control group was followed up routinely. The 48 patients in the experimental group adopted the nurse-led follow-up with the checklist as the theoretical framework. The follow-up time was 12 months. After 6 and 12 months of follow-up,the quality of life and psychological states were assessed using the European Organization for Research and Treatment of Cancer Quality of Life Questionnaire-C30(EORTC QLQ-C30),Head and Neck Cancer Questionnaire H&N35(EORTC QLQ-H&N35),Self-rating Depression Scale(SDS)and Self-rating Anxiety Scale(SAS),respectively.Results:(1)According to literature review,semi-structured interview, and expert consultation of modified Delphi, the checklist of nurses’ post-operative follow-up for laryngeal cancer includes 4 primary indicators such as physiological status,15 secondary indicators such as airway problems, and 42 tertiary indicators such as tracheal cannula management.(2)Before and after the follow-up time effect of the patient’s total health score was statistically significant(P<0.05),the effect is different between the two group patients score(P<0.05),and interaction with scores(P<0.05),the time factor’s influence on the total health is different because of the different methods of follow-up,and the experimental group significantly better than the control group.(3)Before and after the follow-up of the patient’s body, and other areas of the functional areas, head and neck pain and other symptoms score of time effect was statistically significant(P<0.05),two groups of patients with various functions, such as nausea and vomiting symptoms score in the field of effect there are differences between groups(P<0.05),at the same time, the body function, fatigue and other symptoms such as field scoring exist interaction(P<0.05),the time factor’s influence on the function and symptoms in patients with is different because of the different methods of follow-up.(4)The time effect of anxiety and depression scores before and after follow-up was statistically significant(P<0.05).If the time factor was not taken into account, there was a difference in the intergroup effect of anxiety and depression scores between the two groups(P<0.05).At the same time, there was an interaction between anxiety and depression scores(P<0.05),indicating that the influence of time on psychological state varied with the different follow-up methods.Conclusion:(1)The nurse-led follow-up checklist applied in the post-operative follow-up of patients with laryngeal cancer is reliable to a certain extent, which can standardize the follow-up content of patients after laryngeal cancer and provide theoretical basis for nurses to formulate the follow-up plan of patients after laryngeal cancer.(2)Nurse-led follow-up based on the checklist can improve the postoperative functional and psychological status of patients with laryngeal cancer, reduce symptoms, and thus improve their quality of life. |
