| Optic atrophy is due to the degeneration of the axon of retinal ganglion cells,resulting in the loss of color and even paleness of the optic papilla,visual impairment,visual field defect and even blindness caused by blind ophthalmopathy.The traditional theory of western medicine holds that optic atrophy is irreversible.Recent studies have confirmed that optic atrophy can be recovered or partially recovered through the treatment of optic atrophy.Traditional Chinese medicine has advantages in the treatment of optic atrophy.Objective: the aim of this study is to observe the therapeutic effect of electro-acupuncture and non-electro-acupuncture in combination with traditional acupoints,visual function and RNFL,and to optimize the treatment scheme of optic atrophy by acupuncture and non-electro-acupuncture in combination with traditional acupoints.Methods: The subjects were from ophthalmic patients in the first affiliated Hospital of Heilongjiang University of traditional Chinese Medicine.Visual acuity,fundus,visual field and OCT,were measured by doctors.46 cases(86 eyes)were randomly divided into two groups:acupuncture group(24 cases,45 eyes)and electric acupuncture group(22cases,41 eyes).Acupuncture group points plan: Qiaoming,Qiuhou,Taiyang,Baihui,Jiaosun,Sishencong,Fengchi,Fengfu,Sanyinjiao,Guangming,Xingjian;electro-acupuncture group: the same acupuncture group.Two groups of electrodes were connected to Qiaoming point and Jiaosun point by KWD-808 I pulse acupuncture apparatus.Results: 1 the effective rates of acupuncture group and electroacupuncture group were 53.3% and 63.5%,respectively.2 after treatment,the visual acuity of electroacupuncture group was higher than that of acupuncture group,there was no significant difference(P= 0.339 > 0.05).3 After treatment,the mean visual field defect rate(MD)ofthe electroacupuncture group was significantly lower than that of the acupuncture group(P=0.008 < 0.05),and the difference was significant and statistically significant.4 After treatment,the RNFL of the electro-acupuncture group was higher than that of the acupuncture group,the difference was not significant(P=0.119 > 0.05).Conclusion: electro-acupuncture on the treatment of optic nerve atrophy has a good clinical effect.It can improve the visual acuity,reduce the visual field defect and increase the thickness of optic nerve fiber.The overall effect is better than that of ordinary acupuncture. |
