Objective:To study the expression of growth hormone receptor(GHR)? insulin-like growth factor-1 receptor(IGF-1R)and epidermal growth factor receptor(EGFR)in renal clear cell carcinoma and analyze their correlation and relationship between expression and clinicopathological factors,to investigate the clinical significance of GHR?IGF-1R?EGFR in renal clear cell carcinoma.Methods:Expression of GHR? IGF-1R and EGFR protein in 64 specimens of renal clear cell carcinoma and matched paracarcinoma tissues were examined by using immunohistological ABC method and analyse the relationship between gender difference?age group? pathological grading?clinical stages and tumorigenesis/progression/transformation;to further clarify their clinical significance of renal clear cell carcinoma.Results:The expression of GHR protein in renal clear cell carcinoma and matched paracarcinoma tissues were respectively 62.50%(40,64)and 43.75.%(28,64),renal clear cell carcinoma tissues significantly higher than those in matched paracarcinoma tissues(p=0.034).The expression of IGF-1R and EGFR protein of renal clear cell carcinoma tissues were resepectively 75.00%(48,64) and 73.44.%(47,64),significantly higher than those in matched paracarcinoma tissues 53.13%(34,64)and 54.69%(35,64)(p=0.016 and p=0.014).The expression of GHR? IGF-1R and EGFR both in renal clear cell carcinoma and matched paracarcinoma tissues were associated with the pathological grading and clinical stages(all p<0.05),but had no relation to age group and gender(all p>0.05).The expression of GHR? IGF-1R and EGFR were positively correlated with each other both in renal clear cell carcinoma and matched paracarcinoma tissues(all p<0.05).Conclusion:High expression of GHR ? IGF-1R and EGFR protein were significantly correlated in renal clear cell carcinoma,which indicate they play an important role in the proliferation and progression of renal clear cell carcinoma.This study provide a theoretical basis for the treatment of renal clear cell carcinoma with GHR?IGF-1R?EGFR as targets.
