PurposeTo compare the diagnostic value of multi-parametric magnetic resonance imaging?mp-MRI?and ultrasound elastography in prostate cancer by Meta analysis.MethodTo retrieve Pubmed,OVID,EMBASE,CNKI,CBM,Wanfang, and VPCS databases, search of multi-parameter MRI and ultrasound elastography in the diagnosis of prostate cancer in both Chinese and English texts, the retrieval time from January 2013 to September2013,extract relevant clinical data, using Stata12.0 and Meta-DiSc1.4 software for data analysis,The pooled sensitivity(Senpool),specificity(Spepool),positive likelihood ratio(+LRpool),negative likelihood ratio(-LRpool)and diagnostic ratio(DORpool)were respectively calculated, the receiver operating characteristic curves?SROC?of the subjects was plotted and the area?AUC?under the curve was calculated, then the SROC of the two groups was drawn to visually compare the differences in diagnostic efficacy between the two groups.ResultsA total of 25 studies, including 4886 patients.Meta analysis resul-ts showed that mp-MRI diagnostic Senpool=0.84[95%Cl?0.77,0.89?]?Spepool=0.76[95%Cl?0.67,0.83??+LRpool=3.52[95%CI?2.49,4.96?]?-LRpool=0.21[95%CI?0.14,0.32?]?DORpool=16.77[95%CI(8.78,32.01];Ultraso-und elastography diagnostic Senpool=0.84[95%CI?0.79,0.88?]?Spepool=0.72[95%CI?0.63,0.79?]?+LRpool=3.00[95%Cl?2.26,3.87?],-LRpool=0.22[Cl(0.17,0.30],DORpool=13.22[95%CI?8.40,20.79?].The area under the SROC curve?AUC?of mp-MRI and ultrasound elastography in the diagnosis of prostate cancer was0.87[95%CI?0.84,0.90?]and 0.86[95%CI?0.83,0.89?].The visual comparison of SROC indicated that there wasno statistical difference in the diagnostic efficacy between the two groups.ConclusionBoth mp-MRI and ultrasound elastography have high diagnostic efficiency in the diagnosis of prostate cancer and can be used as important examination methods to supplement each other.
