Objective:To observe the effects of the electroacupuncture with different frequencies on the colon substance P?SP?and vasoactive intestinal peptide?VIP?level of slow transit constipation model rats.Methods:100 healthy male Sprague Dawley?SD?rats were randomly divided into normal group,model group,low frequency electro-acupuncture group,high frequency electro-acupuncture group and variable frequency electro-acupuncture group with 20 rats in each group.Rats in normal group were feed with normal fodder.As for the rat in rest groups,their fodder is added with Diphenoxylate,and the dose is 8mg·kg-1·d-1,successive administration will last for 120d.The model of slow transit constipation rat?STC?is established,and the normal group and model group won't have any treatment,while the low frequency electro-acupuncture group will be given continuous wave electroacupuncture of 2Hz,high frequency electro-acupuncture group will be given continuous wave electroacupuncture of 100Hz and variable frequency electro-acupuncture group will be given dilatational wave electroacupuncture of 2Hz/100Hz,the current intensity makes the rats'leg shake slowly instead makes the rats scream.It is given once a day,it lasts for 15min,and the treatment lasts for15d.After the treatment,the content level of SP and VIP substances in the intestinal tract transmit system and colon of the rats in each group are measured respectively.Results:Compared with rats in the normal group,the elimination time of the first tarry stool of the rats in the model group is obviously prolonged?P<0.05?;compared with the rats in the model group,the elimination time of the first tarry stool of the STC rats in low frequency electroacupuncture group,high frequency electroacupuncture goup and variable frequency electroacupuncture group is obviously shortened?P<0.05?;the elimination time of the first tarry stool of the STC rats in the variable frequency electroacupuncture group is obviously shortened than low frequency electroacupuncture group?P<0.05?;compared with the rats in the low frequency 2Hz compared with the rats in the normal group,the content of colon SP and VIP of the rats in the model group is obviously reduced?P<0.01?;compared with the rats in the model group,the content of colon SP and VIP of the rats in three electroacupuncture groups is obviously raised after treatment?P<0.05?;compared with rats in the high frequency electroacupuncture group,the content of colon SP of the rats in low frequency electroacupuncture group and variable frequency is obviously raised?P<0.05?;compared with rats in the low frequency electroacupuncture group,the content of colon VIP of the high frequency electroacupuncture group and variable frequency electroacupuncture groupis obviously raised?P<0.05?.Conclusion:Electroacupuncture treatment with different frequencies can improve the intestinal function of the STC model rats by adjusting the content level of the SP and VIP substances in the colon;100Hz continuous wave and 2Hz/100Hz dilatational wave electroacupuncture stimulation has relatively better effect in improving colon transimission function of STC rat,effect of 2Hz continuous wave is secondary to it.
