As a new bone substitute materials,bone cement has plasticity,the curing,bone inductivity and good biological activity,which has a wide range of applications in filling bone defect,bone graft and bone graft materials fixed.Calcium sulfate bone cement?CSC?,which have good biocompatibility and can be degraded completely in the body and can promote the growth of new bone,had widely attention.But due to poor conductibility,low biological activity,the fast degradation rate and so on,its development and clinical application were restricted.And after bone grafts or bone filling operation,infection often occurs,so the study on the bacteriostasis of calcium sulfate bone cement is very necessary.In this article,the different forms of silver were added to calcium sulfate bone cement,respectively,to explore its bacteriostasis of calcium sulfate bone cement,composition,microstructure,mechanical properties,injectability and the influence of the degradation rate and so on.Through bacteriostatic ring,compressive strength,weight loss test,SEM and XRD,the performance,composition and morphology of AgSrHA/CSC were characterized and analyzed.The results showed that after adding AgSrHA to the CSC,in bacteriostatic rings were presented in the experiments,AgSrHA attached on the surface of CaSO4·2H2O,making the connection of the dihydrate calcium sulphate is no longer so close together,increasing the porosity of composite bone cement,thus reducing the compressive strength of bone cement,and accelerateing the degradation rate,but experiments in the body needed further study.Through bacteriostatic ring,compressive strength,injection time,weight loss test,SEM and XRD,the performance,composition and morphology of GO-nAg/CSC were characterized and analyzed.The results showed that after adding AgSrHA to the CSC,in bacteriostatic rings were presented in the experiments.CaCO3 was detected in the calcium sulfate composite bone cement.And GO-nAg solution as the liquid phase,can improve the compressive strength of CSC,and alleviate the degradation rate.In conclusion,silver whether in the form of AgSrHA added to the solid phase,or in the form of the GO-nAg added to the liquid phase,can make the calcium sulfate composite bone cement have antimicrobial resistance,and can improve its performance,thus improving the feasibility of calcium sulfate bone cement in the practical clinical application.
