Clinical Significance Of Serum CD24 In Patients With Colorectal Adenoma And Colorectal Carcinoma In Xining

Objective:To investigate the expression level of CD24 in colorectal adenoma(CRA)and colorectal carcinoma(CRC)patients' serum,and to explore the clinical significance of CD24 expression in early diagnosis and disease monitoring of CRC.Methods:80 patients who have been living in Xining for more than 10 years and were clearly diagnosed as colorectal adenomas or carcinomas in Qinghai university affiliated hospital from December 2017 to October 2018 were collected,and 40 healthy subjects who underwent physical examination during the same period were set as the control group,Enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay(ELISA)was used to detect the CD24 content of fasting venous blood of all subjects in the morning,combined with the expression of serum carcinoembryonic antigen(CEA),all data were analyzed statistically.Results:1.The level of CD24 in the CRC group was significantly higher than that in the adenoma group and the control group(P < 0.05),while there was no significant difference between the adenoma group and the control group(P > 0.05).The content of CD24 in serum was 4.90±1.07ng/ml in the CRC group,4.05±1.50ng/ml in the adenoma group,and 4.15±1.64ng/ml in the control group.2.There was no statistical difference in the expression of CD24 in serum in terms of gender,age,adenoma diameter,adenoma pathological type and cancer differentiation degree(P > 0.05).3.The area under the ROC curve of CD24 was 0.653,and the CEA was 0.787,with significant difference(P < 0.05).The optimal critical value for CD24 diagnosis of CRC was 4.27ng/ml,with a sensitivity of 77.5% and a specificity of 58.7%.The optimal critical value of CEA was 2.12ng/ml,with a sensitivity of 72.5% and a specificity of 77.5%.When combined,the sensitivity increased to 87.5% and specificity to 65%.4.The Kappa value of CD24 was 0.315 compared with the pathological results,and the Kappa value of CEA was 0.479.Paired chi-square test showed that P< 0.05,indicating poor consistency between diagnosis and pathological results of CRC by CD24 and general consistency between CEA and pathological results.Conclusions:1.CD24 was closely related to the development of CRC.2.Combined detection of CD24 and CEA in serum may improve the detection rate of CRC.3.Serum CD24 level detection is an important auxiliary means for the diagnosis of CRC.
