Abstract/Summary:
Objective: To compare the risk factors and MR characteristics of acute ischemic stroke between young and middle-old aged patients, and to explore the value of the differences in clinical diagnosis, treatment and prevention. Methods: Retrospectively collected in July 2015 to June 2018 in Shengjing Hospital in the youth of 214 patients with acute ischemic stroke(group A),rather than the same period were randomly selected hospitalized senile patients 219 cases(group B),and the medical records and imaging data were analyzed, and the relatively young and elderly group in acute cerebral infarction, risk factors and characteristics of MR.Results:(1)The risk factors in group A were hypertension(56.54%),hypertriglyceridemia(53.27%),smoking(47.66%),hyperhomocysteinemia(35.05%),hypercholesterolemia(22.43%),diabetes(19.16%),alcohol consumption(18.69%),and family history of cerebrovascular disease(13.08%).The risk factors in group B were hypertension(70.32%),smoking(41.55%),hypertriglyceridemia(38.36%),diabetes(32.42%),hyperhomocysteinemia(26.94%),hypercholesterolemia(25.57%),alcohol consumption(21.00%),and family history of cerebrovascular disease(9.13%).There were statistically significant differences in the incidence of hypertension, diabetes, hypertriglyceridemia and hyperhomocysteinemia between groups A and B.(2)There was no significant difference between groups A and B in the location of acute cerebral infarction(P>0.05).The normal rate in group A was higher than that group B,and the incidence of multi-vessel MRA abnormality in group B was higher than group A,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05);There was no difference in the size and number of lesions between group A and group B(P>0.05).Conclusion: There are many common risk factors between young and middle-old aged patients with acute ischemic stroke, but the incidence of some risk factors is different in age groups. In the youth group, normal vascular manifestations were more common, while in the middle-old aged group,it was multiple vascular abnormalitie.
