The plant of Annona squamosa Linn.belongs to the genus Annona Linn.,family Annonaceae, whose fruit, also called “Shijia Guo”,is a famous tropical fruit and rich in many positive ingredients with high nutritional value. The family of Annonaceae contains about 120 genera in the world,of which 24 genera are in China. The plants in Annona Linn.are mainly distributed in tropical areas of China, such as Yunnan,Taiwan,Guangxi and Fujian.Previous studied show those plants contains many types of chemicals and have a various of activities, including anti-tumor,analgesic,anti-inflammatory,antibacterial,antioxidant and insecticidal activities. In order to further study of chemicals from the fruit of A.squamosa, the extract of 95% ethanol of its peel was separated by a series of chromatographic techniques. As results,28 compounds were isolated and identified by spectroscopic methods, including 8 diterpenoids,6 steroids,1 triterpene, chemical composition,4 fatty acids,3 lignins,2 sesquiterpenoids, and 4 benzene derivatives.Among them,compounds9,10,11,17,21,27 were isolated from this genus for the first time, and compounds 5,6,8,9,10,11,14,17,21,27 were isolated from this species for the first time. The bioassay showed that 95% ethanol extracts of the peel had some activity of glucosidase inhibition. In addition, the research progress of chemical constituents of annonathis were reviewed in this thesis.
