Objectives:To explore the feasibility of measuring articular cartilage thickness of radial head in normal adults by MRI and the correlation between articular cartilage thickness of radial head in adults and gender, age, weight and height, and to establish a reference range of articular cartilage thickness of radial head in normal adults,so as to provide a basis for considering cartilage thickness in designing artificial radial head.To compare the relationship between CT three-dimensional reconstruction measurements of left and right proximal radius and male and female proximal radius, and to explore the difference between CT three-dimensional reconstruction measurements of left and right proximal radius and male and female proximal radiusMethods:Eighty normal adult elbow joints,40 males and 40 females, were scanned with GE 750W 3.0T permanent magnet magnetic resonance instrument and FS-PDWI series. The median sagittal plane of the radial head was selected as the measurement plane. The straight line was drawn at the radial head-neck junction. The intersection of the vertical bisector and the radial head articular surface was taken as the measurement point. The thickness was measured at the articular cartilage surface to the low signal under the cartilage. Results Statistical analysis was performed with SPSS 17.0 statistical software package.Normal distribution measurements were expressed by mean(±standard deviation).Normal distribution measurements were compared between the two groups using two independent samples t test.Pearson correlation analysis was used for correlation analysis.P<0.05 showed that there was significant difference between the two groups. The data of proximal radius of upper limbs in 30 adults were measured by CT three-dimensional reconstruction measurement.15 males and 15 females were divided into left and right sides. The data were analyzed and compared by Spss 20.0 statistical software.Results:1?The average cartilage thickness of the articular surface of the radial head in males was larger than that in females(1.82 10.21)mm and(1.48±0.13)mm,respectively,with statistical significance(P<0.05);the age of males and females was(36.48 ±12.15)and(38.55 ± 12.70)years,respectively,with no statistical significance(P>0.05);the height and weight of males were larger than those of females, with statistical significance(P<0.05),considering living.Rational differences;the thickness of articular cartilage of the radius head in men had no correlation with age,but had low correlation with height and weight;the thickness of articular cartilage of the radius head in women had no correlation with age, height and weight.2?CT three-dimensional reconstruction measurement method of male proximal radial length(40.1 ± 3.4)mm,outer arc length(32.2±3.4)mm,neutral outer arc maximum vertical height(3.0 ± 0.7)mm,radial head concave depth(1.9± 1.9)mm,radial head and neck stem Angle is 165.65°± 3.64°,radial head lateral height(7.8±1.1)mm,inside of the radial head height(7.9± 0.8)mm,radial head height of the side(7.1 ± 0.7)mm,height of radial head back(8.0 ± 0.7)mm,radial head sagittal diameter(19.8±1.4)mm,radial crown diameter(19.9 ± 1.2)mm,radial neck the narrowest place of the medullary cavity sagittal diameter(7.9± 1.5)mm,coronary diameter(8.0±1.4)mm;Women proximal radial length(35.5± 1.6)mm,outer arc length(29.2 ± 1.7)mm,neutral outer arc maximum vertical height(2.9 ± 0.2)mm,radial head concave depth(1.6± 0.2)mm,radial head and neck stem Angle is 165.20 0± 3.56°,radial head lateral height(6.6± 0.6)mm,inside of the radial head height(5.5 ± 0.3)mm,radial head height of the side(6.5±0.4)mm,height of radial head back(6.9±0.3)mm,radial head sagittal diameter(16.2±0.7)mm.radial crown diameter(16.0±1.3)mm,radial neck the narrowest place of the medullary cavity sagittal diameter(4.8 ± 1.2)mm,coronary diameter(4.8±1.4)mm.Conclusions:1.The articular cartilage thickness of the radial head of normal adults was measured by MRI,and the reference range of articular cartilage thickness of the radial head of normal adults in China was established. The average articular cartilage thickness of the male radial head was larger than that of the female;the articular cartilage thickness of the adult male radial head had no correlation with age,but had a low correlation with height and weight;and the articular cartilage thickness of the adult female radial head had a low correlation with Age,height and weight were not correlated. The articular cartilage thickness of the radial head should be considered in the design of artificial radial head2?CT three-dimensional reconstruction measurement data reflects the actual size at the bottom of the radial, compared to the left,on the right side of the indicators, there was no statistically significant difference(P>0.05).During the radius head replacement, the suitable prosthesis can be selected according to the preoperative CT three-dimensional reconstruction measurement of the proximal radial end of the healthy side or combined with the preoperative CT data of the proximal radial end of the healthy side. The personalized prosthesis can be customized by 3D printing technology.Measurement indicators for women and men, compared to the radial head and neck stem Angle, neutral outer arc maximum vertical height and radial head concave depth differences of no statistical significance(P>0.05),and in the rest of the radial proximal related sagittal diameter, height, length, coronary diameter greater than women, the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).So in the design and choice of prosthesis by considering the differences between gender and thus produce different type of prosthesis for clinical choice.Improve the precision of the radial head replacement.
