Purpose: To update and summarize the clinical characteristics of orbital echinococcosis through the collection and systematic evaluation of orbital echinococcosis, and to provide a reference for improving the diagnosis and treatment rate of orbital echinococcosis,in order to provide corresponding basis and suggestions for clinical diagnosis. Methods: We collected all case reports of orbital echinococcosis in Xinjiang in the past two decades, and all patients were diagnosed with pathology. At the same time,we collect all the literatures on orbital echinococcosis published at home and abroad, and all patient information comes from published studies, excluding other publications with adjacent structures that also suffer from echinococcosis. If the same case report appears in multiple publications, choose the publication with the highest impact factor. In this systematic review,we extensively evaluated the basic characteristics of patients with orbital echinococcosis,as well as the growth location, clinical manifestations, diagnosis and treatment methods and prognosis of hydatid cysts. Results: We finally collected 4cases of orbital hydatidosis,a total of 30 literature reviews.Based on the collected cases and systematic reviews, the characteristics of orbital echinococcosis are fully evaluated, including clinical manifestations, differential diagnosis, predisposition, imaging findings, laboratory examinations, pathology, treatment and prognosis. Conclusion: Although the incidence of orbital echinococcosis is very low,in the epidemiological area of echinococcosis, the possibility of orbital echinococcosis cannot be ignored during the diagnosis of orbital cystic lesions.Despite significant progress in echinococcosis diagnosis research and medical and surgical treatment, orbital echinococcosis is still a challenging disease that requires interdisciplinary discussions to provide tailored treatments for each patient.
