Objective: To observe the effect of acellular dermal matrix(ADM)and submucosa small intestine(SIS)in repairing hard palatal mucosa defect after surgery of palatal benign tumor,and provide a useful reference for clinical work.Method: All total of 30 patients with hard palatal mucosa defect after surgery of palatal benign tumor were classified into three groups according their different repair methods.There are 11 cases in SIS group and10 cases in ADM group,and 9 cases in the control group.All of them were followed up 1week,2 weeks,1 month,3 months and 6 months after surgery to observe the situation of palatal wound and count the healing rate of palatal wound,postoperative complications and the survival and contraction of biological patches in each group.Results: The regenerated mucosa in palatal was ruddy,smooth,soft and elastic in SIS group and ADM group.But there was a little scar tissue in blank control group.Two weeks and one month after surgery,the palatal wound healing rate of SIS group and ADM group was significantly higher than blank control group(P<0.05).The palatal wound healing rate of SIS group lower than SIS group two weeks after surgery but higher than SIS group one month after surgery.But there was no significant difference between SIS and ADM groups(P>0.05).There was no statistical difference in pain score,foreign body sensation score and other postoperative complications among the three groups(P>0.05).And there was no rejection in SIS group and ADM group.The biological patches were behaved excellently about survival rate and shrinkage in SIS group and ADM group.There were no cases behaved badly.Concousion: The effect of SIS compared with ADM is comparable in repairing hard palatal mucosal defect after surgery of palatal benign tumor.Both ofthem can obviously promote the healing rate and quality of palatal mucosa defect which also have high biosafety.
