The Diagnostic And Evaluation Value Of Magnetic Resonance Spectroscopy In Thalamus Of Parkinson’s Patients | | Posted on:2021-01-11 | Degree:Master | Type:Thesis | | Country:China | Candidate:F Yang | Full Text:PDF | | GTID:2404330602463426 | Subject:Imaging and nuclear medicine | | Abstract/Summary: | PDF Full Text Request | | Objective : To evaluate the difference of single-voxel and multi-voxel magnetic resonance spectroscopy(MRS)in the detection of thalamus,and to explore the diagnostic value of the two for Parkinson’s disease(PD).Furthermore,multi-voxel MRS was used to study the changes of metabolites in the thalamus of PD patients,and to explore the correlation between the MRS ratio in the thalamus of PD patients and the clinical Hoehn&Yahr grade and the UPDRS scale.Methods:30 PD patients and 24 volunteers were selected as subjects,and were divided into the PD group and the control group.The PD group was graded by H-Y and UPDRS.Philips Achieva TX 3.0T MR imaging system was used to detect the bilateral thalamus of the study subjects by single-voxel and multi-voxel MRS,respectively,to obtain a series of metabolite ratios and corresponding spectral lines,and to conduct statistical analysis and evaluation on the MRS ratios of each group.Results:(1)The single-voxel and multi-voxel MRS technique showed no statistical difference in the measurement of bilateral thalamus.The comparison of NAA/Cr and Cho/Cr values in PD group and control group with single-voxel as well as the multi-voxel measurement of NAA/Cr and NAA/Cho values showed statistical differences.Cho/Cr values in the left and right thalamus and NAA/Cho values in the right thalamus were measured by single-voxel and multi-voxel in the ipsilateral thalamus of the subjects.The NAA/Cr and Cho/Cr values of the severe side and contralateral thalamus of PD group were measured with multi-voxel,showing statistical differences.(2)Further study on multi-voxil MRS technology showed that the NAA/Cr value and NAA/Cho value of the severe thalamus of PD group and the NAA/Cr value of the contralateral side were significantly lower than that of the control group,with statistically significant differences.There were significant differences in NAA/Cr,NAA/Cho and contralateral NAA/Cr ratios between the early,middle and late PD groups.Spearman correlation analysis showed that the NAA/Cr value and NAA/Cho value in the heavy thalamus of PD patients,and the NAA/Cr value and Cho/Cr value of the contralateral side were correlated with the H-Y grade.Pearson correlation analysis showed that the NAA/Cr value and NAA/Cho value in the severe thalamus of PD patients,and the NAA/Cr value in the contralateral thalamus were negatively correlated with Cho/Cr value and UPDRS score.Conclusion:There are some differences in the measurement results of single-voxel and multi-voxel for the same area of interest.Multi-voxel technique has greater clinical application value in the diagnosis of PD and can detect PD more keenly,which is closely related to the asymmetric progress of symptoms and signs.There was a certain correlation between the ratio of MRS related metabolites and H-Y grade and UPDRS score,which played a certain auxiliary role in reflecting the severity and stage of the Parkinson’s disease. | | Keywords/Search Tags: | Parkinson’s disease, ~1H-MRS, thalamus, Hoehn&Yahr, UPDRS | PDF Full Text Request | Related items |
