Observation On Curative Effect Of American Chiropractic Combined With Cervical Pillow In Treating Cervical Spondylosis

Objective:Observation on cervical pillow combined spinal manipulation therapy in treating cervical spondylosis and explore its possible mechanism.Methods:According to the principle of complete random distribution,60 selected patients with cervical spondylosis were divided into treatment group(30 cases)and control group(30 cases).The treatment group was treated cervical pillow combined spinal manipulation therapy,while the control group was treated with spinal manipulation therapy.spinal manipulation therapy is performed once on the 3rd,twice a week for 3 weeks.The cervical pillow is used every night for 3 weeks starting from cervical vertebra treatment.Before and after treatment,visual analogue scale VAS,neck muscle strength(forward flexion,backward extension,left flexion,right flexion),neck joint activity(forward flexion,backward extension,lateral flexion,rotation)and NDI cervical vertebra dysfunction index were used to evaluate the neck function of the patients.Finally,the therapeutic effect was evaluated by using the diagnostic and therapeutic criteria of traditional Chinese medicine,and blind method was used in the evaluation and statistical process.Results:In the end,60 patients completed the treatment and there were no cases of abscission.After treatment,compared with before treatment,VAS score decreased,muscle strength increased,cervical spine mobility increased,NDI score decreased,cervical spine function improved to different degrees in both groups,with statistically significant difference(P < 0.05).Compared with the control group,the treatment group has higher improvement degree and better therapeutic effect(p < 0.05).Judging from the total effective rate,the total effective rate in the treatment group is 86.67%,and the total effective rate in the control group is 73.33%.the treatment group is higher than the control group,and the difference is statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion:.Cervical pillow combined with chiropractic therapy can effectively reduce neck and shoulder pain in patients with cervical spondylosis,increase cervical spine joint mobility and cervical muscle strength,improve patients’ cervical spine function,and the effect is better than simple spinal manipulation therapy.This may be related to the mechanism that the cervical pillow is beneficial to restore the stable structure of the patient’s cervical.
