Comparative Study On The Medication Rules In The Treatment Of Colorectal Cancer With Traditional Chinese Medicine

Objective:Based on data mining technology,the prescriptions of colorectal cancer in ancient medical books,modern literature and modern famous Chinese medicine Professor Liu Shenlin are analyzed to explore the different medication rules in treating colorectal cancer with traditional Chinese medicine during different periods or with different doctors.Method:According to the key words of ’JIJU’,’CHANGLIU’,’CHANGXUN’,’ZANGDU’,’SUOGANGZHI’,’PANCHANGZHI’,’BIANXUE’,’CHANGPI’,’FULIANG’,’ZHENGJIA’,’ZHIXIA’,’XIAXUE’,’PIKUAI’,etc,the relevant prescriptions in the dictionary of traditional Chinese medicine prescriptions are extracted.Through the CNKI platform,collect the literatures published between January 1,1987 and December 31,2019,which are related to the key words of ’Carcinoma of large intestine’,’Colonic cancer’,’Rectal cancer’,’Intestine cancer’,’Malignant tumor of large intestine’,’ Malignant tumor of colon’,’ Malignant tumor of rectum’,’Malignant tumor of intestine’,’Chinese Medicine’,’Chinese herbs’,’Principle’,’Method’,etc,and extract them to make a list of the prescriptions of colorectal cancer.Systematic collection of all the first TCM cases of colorectal cancer patients diagnosed and treated by Professor Liu Shenlin from January 2017 to December 2019.Then,based on Medcase v3.8 platform,the colorectal cancer prescription database of ancient,modern and Professor Liu Shenlin are established.Frequency statistics and K-means clustering algorithm are used to mine the drug distribution,core medicine and prescriptions.Results:269 prescriptions of ancient colorectal cancer,141 prescriptions of modern colorectal cancer and 200 prescriptions of colorectal cancer are collected.The results of measurement data show that the most frequent drug application of the ancient prescriptions are Qi regulating medicine,blood activating medicine,warming medicine,tonic medicine,and cathartic medicine;The most frequent drug application of the modern prescriptions are tonic medicine,antipyretic medicine,water draining medicine,Qi regulating medicine,and digestant medicine;The most frequent drug application of Professor Liu Shenlin are tonic medicine,Qi regulating medicine,antipyretic medicine,blood activating medicine,and water draining medicine.The frequency of application of the tonic medicine is equal to the sum of the times of administration of the last four high frequency drugs.The results of K-means clustering showed that the core medicine of ancient colorectal cancer prescriptions are mainly composed of antipyretic medicine(12%),tonic medicine(10%),blood activating medicine(8%),phlegm resolving and cough relieving medicine(8%),Qi regulating medicine(7%),hemostatic medicine(5%),which are accounting for more than 50%of the total times of application;the core medicine of modern prescriptions are antipyretic medicine(21%),tonic medicine(16%),blood activating medicine(11%),Qi regulating medicine(7%),which are accounting for more than 50%of the total times of application;The core medicine of Professor Liu’s colorectal cancer prescription are mainly composed of antipyretic medicine(16%),tonic medicine(14%),phlegm resolving and cough relieving medicine(9%),Qi regulating medicine(8%)and blood activating medicine(8%),accounting for more than 50%of the total.The results of K-means cluster analysis showed that the core formula of Professor Liu’s prescription for colorectal cancer is ’Codonopsis pilosula,Rhizoma Atractylodis Macrocephalae,Liquorice,Astragalus membranaceus,Costus and Dried tangerine peel’.Due to the high dispersion of the ancient and modern prescriptions of colorectal cancer,it is impossible to extract the core prescriptions by the core prescription K-means clustering algorithm.Conclusion:The selection of ancient prescriptions of colorectal cancer is mainly ’attack’ method and the distribution of treatment method is relatively discrete.There is no obvious treatment bias,reflecting that ancient physicians do not have a unified understanding of colorectal cancer related diseases.The overall choice of modern prescriptions of colorectal cancer is mainly based on tonic method and the choice of treatment method is relatively concentrated,which reflects that modern physicians have gradually unified their understanding of colorectal cancer.Professor Liu Shenlin’s prescriptions of colorectal cancer not only attaches great importance to the use of tonic medicine,but also has a relatively balanced distribution of treatment methods.In general,it takes‘invigorating the spleen and eliminating mass’as the basic treatment principle,reflecting its treatment idea of‘strengthening the body first,supplemented by eliminating pathogenic factors’.
