Objective:To evaluate the efficacy and safety of transurethral thulium laser enucleation of the prostate(ThuLEP)for the improvement of lower urinary tract symptoms(LUTS)in benign prostatic hyperplasia(BPH)Methods:In our hospital 81 cases prostate surgery comparative study and analysis,including ThuLEP group 39 cases(group A)and 42 cases of TURP group(group B),record two groups of patients age,preoperative assessment of patients with preoperative international prostate symptom score(IPSS)and quality of life score(Qol),by examining the understanding of bladder residual urine(PVR)and maximum urinary flow rate(Qmax)and prostate volume(abdominal ultrasound),compared two groups of intraoperative and postoperative cases,postoperative 3months follow-up,follow-up including IPSS,Qol,PVR and Qmax.Results:Surgery of 81 cases were successful,including 1 case of secondary surgical treatment for postoperative bleeding,postoperative micturition obtained satisfied effect,ThuLEP postoperative 3 months of IPSS,QOL,Qmax and PVR clear difference compared with preoperative(P < 0.05),and was equal to that of TURP,and compared with TURP postoperative bladder irrigation time,keeping catheter time and hospital stay were shorter(P < 0.05),but ThuLEP operating time is relatively long TURP(P < 0.05).Conclusion:ThuLEP can relieve the urinary tract obstruction of benign prostatic hyperplasia,significantly improve the patient’s urination after surgery,and reduce the patient’s bleeding and related complications.
