| Objective:To analyze the status and influencing factors of self-perceived burden, uncertainty in illness and social support in maintenance hemodialysis(MHD)patients, and to explore the correlation between self-perceived burden, uncertainty in illness and social support in MHD patients To provide patients with more accurate nursing measures,to reduce the patient’s self-perceived burden and uncertainty in illness, and to improve the social support and quality of life. Methods:This study is a cross-sectional survey study.A convenient sampling method was used to select 278 patients who met the inclusion exclusion criteria in a blood purification center of a tertiary Class A hospital in Sichuan Province.Research tools include a general data questionnaire,a self-perceived burden scale,a uncertainty in illness scale, and a social support rating scale.Data were entered and backed up using Excel 2016,and statistical analysis was performed on the data with SPSS17.0.Among them, demographic data were described by frequency and composition ratio, and the scores of each variable were expressed as mean ± standard deviation(`x ± s).MHD patients Self-perceived burden, uncertainty in illness, and social support were analyzed using t-test oranalysis of variance, and the correlation between variables was statistically analyzed using Pearson correlation. Results:A total of 278 questionnaires were distributed in this study,278 were recovered, and 278 valid questionnaires, with an effective rate of100.00%.The total self-perceived burden of MHD patients was(28.61 ± 5.35)points,and the items were divided into(2.89 ± 1.08)points.Significant differences in MHD patients’ self-perceived burden scores at different ages, monthly household income per capita, medical payment methods,self-care ability, and health status. The overall score of uncertainty in illness in patients with MHD was(88.89 ± 6.78)points,and the items were(2.86 ± 1.43)points.Significant differences in education uncertainty scores among MHD patients with different levels of education, monthly household income, work status, and dialysis time. The total score of social support for MHD patients was(36.85 ± 6.35)points,and the items were all scored(3.67 ± 1.12)points.Significant differences in social support scores for MHD patients by age, education level, family monthly income, marital status, dialysis time, and living status.Pearson correlation analysis showed that the self-perceived burden of MHD patients was positively correlated with uncertainty in illness(r =0.437,P <0.01),the self-perceived burden was negatively correlated with social support(r =-0.326,P <0.01),and the disease was not Negative correlation between certainty and social support(r =-0.383,p <0.01).Conclusion:The self-perceived burden of MHD patients is at a medium level. The degree of self-perceived burden of MHD patients is related to their age, monthly household income, medical expenses payment methods,self-care ability, and health status of caregivers.MHD patients all show varying degrees of uncertainty in illness.Among them, the score of the uncertainty dimension is the highest. The univariate analysis shows that the degree of uncertainty in illness of different MHD patients is related to their education level, family monthly income,Work status and dialysis time. The social support level of patients with MHD is at a medium level.According to statistical results, the social support of patients is related to their age, marital status, education level, monthly family income, living status, and dialysis. The level of self-perceived burden of MHD patients is positively correlated with their uncertainty in illness, and negatively correlated with social support. There is a negative correlation between the degree of uncertainty in illness and social support, that is,the burden of self-experience is heavy, the disease is uncertain, the level of social support is low,and vice versa. |
