The Effect Of Rosuvastatin And Probucol On Progression Of Carotid Plaque In Patients With Coronary Heart Disease Complicated With Diabetes

BackgroundCoronary heart disease(CHD)is the main heart disease that causes death.The main pathogenic factors of coronary heart disease are coronary atherosclerosis and atheromatous plaque formation.Carotid atherosclerosis and plaque formation have a certain correlation with coronary heart disease.There are oxidative stress and inflammatory reaction in the pathogenesis of coronary heart disease and diabetes.Statins are the first choice in the treatment of hypercholesterolemia and play a key role in the prevention of atherosclerosis.Probucol is an antioxidant and lipid-lowering drug.The effect of its combination with statins in the treatment of carotid plaque is not clear.ObjectivesTo study the effect of rosuvastatin combined with probucol on carotid plaque in patients with coronary heart disease and diabetes mellitus.MethodsFrom December 2017 to December 2019,120 patients with coronary heart disease and diabetes were hospitalized in Yanshi people’s hospital.All patients were over 18 years old and underwent coronary angiography(CAG)in the catheterization room.The basic clinical data of each group were recorded in detail.The blood biochemical examination included at least TG,TC,LDL-C,HDL-C,FBG,Hb A1 c,CRP,IL-6,TNF-α.Carotid plaque area,carotid intima media thickness(CIMT)and crouse score were measured.The patients were randomly divided into control group and experimental group.In addition to routine necessary treatment,the patients in the control group took rosuvastatin,while the patients in the experimental group took rosuvastatin and probucol.Both groups were treated for 10 months.During the treatment period,the medical staff of our hospital will make regular return visit.After one month,three months and 10 months of treatment,the patients in the two groups will be reexamined in TG,TC,LDL-C,HDL-C,FBG,Hb A1 c,CRP,IL-6,TNF-α.Meanwhile,the liver function,renal function and ECG of the patients will be reexamined,the adverse reactions of the patients will be recorded,and the patients will be kept in touch at any time to ensure the safety of clinical medication.After 10 months of treatment,the changes of carotid intimal plaque area,CIMT and crouse score in the two groups were reviewed.Then the data of the two groups were compared and analyzed by the method of statistical t-test.Results1.10 months after treatment,the plasma TG,TC,LDL-C,Hb A1 c,CRP,IL-6,TNF-αof the two groups were lower than before treatment,the difference was statistically significant;There was no significant difference in HDL-C、FBG between the two groups before and after treatment.2.TG,TC,LDL-C,Hb A1 c,CRP,IL-6,TNF-α in the experimental group were lower than those in the control group after 10 months of treatment,the difference was statistically significant.3.10 months after treatment,the area of carotid intima plaque,CIMT and crouse score of carotid plaque in the two groups were lower than those before treatment;after treatment,the area of carotid intima plaque,CIMT and crouse score of carotid plaque in the experimental group were lower than those in the control group,the difference was statistically significant.4.There was no difference in adverse reactions between the two groups.Conclusions1.Rosuvastatin combined with probucol can further reduce the thickness and area of carotid plaques,the thickness of CIMT,and the levels of blood lipids,blood glucose and inflammatory factors in plasma in patients with coronary heart disease and diabetes compared with rosuvastatin alone.2.Rosuvastatin combined with probucol is an effective and safe treatment for carotid plaque in patients with coronary heart disease and diabetes mellitus.
