Objective: To detect the expression of eIF4 E and MNK1 in colon cancer and normal colon tissue,analyze the relationship between the expression of eIF4 E and MNK1 and the clinical pathological parameters of colon cancer,and explore the significance of eIF4 E and MNK1 in the occurrence and development of colon cancer,provide theoretical basis for the therapy of colon cancer.Methods: 30 patients with colon cancer confirmed by the pathological examination were randomly collected.Moreover,before the pathological examination,patients did not undergo radiotherapy or chemotherapy,and 30 volunteers were recruited and regarded as the normal control group.(2)By immunohistochemistry(SP),the expression of eIF4 E and MNK1 in the colon cancer and normal colon tissue were detected,and the relationship between the two and various pathological parameters of colon cancer was analyzed.In addition,the correlation of the expression of the two in the colon cancer group was analyzed.Results:(1)The positive expression rates of eIF4 E in the colon cancer group and normal colon group were 86.70%(26/30)and 36.70%(11/30)respectively.For the comparison of the two groups,there was a significant statistical difference(P <0.001);Among them,the high expression rates of eIF4 E in the colon cancer group and the normal colon group were 73.30%(22/30)and 6.70%(2/30)respectively.For the comparison of the two groups,there was a significant statistical difference(P <0.001);There was the correction between the expression of eIF4 E in colon cancer and lymph node metastasis(P =0.005),the degree of differentiation(P =0.015)and TNM stage(P = 0.027).There was no the correction between it and the patient's gender and age(P >0.05).(2)The positive expression rates of MNK1 in the colon cancer group and normal colon group were 76.70%(23/30)and 30.00%(9/30)respectively.There was a statistical difference(P <0.001);The high expression rates of MNK1 in the colon cancer group and normal colon group were 60.00%(18/30)and 13.30%(4/30)respectively.For the comparison of the two groups,there was a statistically significant difference(P <0.001);There was the correction between the expression of MNK1 in the colon cancer group and the degree of tumor differentiation(P =0.008),lymph node metastasis(P =0.006)and TNM stage(P =0.000),There was no the correction between the expression of MNK1 and the patient's gender and age,and there was no a statistical difference(P >0.05).(3)The expression of eIF4 E and MNK1 in colon cancer was positively correlated(r = 0.746,P = 0.000).Conclusions:(1)Both eIF4 E and MNK1 in colon cancer show high expression;(2)There is the correction between the expression of eIF4 E and MNK1 and the degree of differentiation of colon cancer,lymph node metastasis and TNM stage;(3)The expression of eIF4 E and MNK1 in the colon cancer tissue are positively correlated;(4)eIF4E and MNK1 are associated with the occurrence and development of colon cancer.
