Objective1.The expression and distribution of Gremlin1 in gastric cancer tissues were studied to analyze its role in gastric cancer tissues, and the correlation and degree of correlation between it and clinically-related pathological parameters of gastric cancer were discussed.2.To investigate the role of Gremlin1 in the progression and prognosis of gastric cancer. Methods The expression and distribution of Gremlin1 were detected by immunohistochemistry in 120 tissue samples and adjacent tissues after radical gastrectomy for qualitative analysis.Results1.There were 61 positive cases and 59 negative cases of Gremlin1 in gastric cancer tissues. After statistical analysis,it was found that its expression was not correlated with gender, age, tumor size and clinical stage(P>0.05),but was correlated with lymph node metastasis, tumor differentiation grade and tissue source(P<0.05).2.High expression of Gremlin1 was found in patients with negative lymph node metastasis and low degree of malignancy, and diffuse gastric cancer was more likely to express Gremlin1 than intestinal cancer.Conclusion1.Gremlin1 may play an important role in the occurrence of gastric tumor, and its expression was not correlated with the patient’s gender, age, tumor size and clinical stage. However,it was correlated with lymph node metastasis and tumor differentiation and classification, that is,Gremlin1 is highly expressed in patients with negative lymph node metastasis and low degree of tumor malignancy. Moreover, diffuse gastric cancer is more likely to express Gremlin1 than intestinal gastric cancer.2.Gremlin1 has significant expression in gastric cancer that can be used as a marker in the diagnosis of early gastric cancer.
