Objective:To study the inhibitory effect of MTAN and the combined application of MTAN and EDTA on Streptococcus sanguis?Porphyromonas gingivalis?Fusobacterium nucleatum. Methods:MTAN solution and MTAN+EDTA solution of different concentrations were added into the suspension of different mixed strains, and the initial OD value and the OD value after 24 h culture were recorded. The minimum inhibitory concentration(MIC)and minimum bactericidal concentration(MBC)of MTAN and MTAN+EDTA were determined. After centrifugation,MTAN and MTAN+EDTA were added, respectively. After treatment for 1min,5min and 10 min,the drug was removed and diluted 10 times in gradient. The survival rate of the mixed bacterial suspension before and after treatment was calculated by plate counting method.SPSS20.0 software was used for statistical analysis of the measurement results, with =0.05 as the test level.ResultsThe inhibition of MTAN on four kinds of mixed bacterial suspension was enhanced with the increase of concentration, and the bacteria could be killed at 2500 g/ m L and 5000 g/ml.In this study,MTAN+EDTA inhibited bacterial growth at any concentration and killed bacteria at 25 g/ m L and 50 g/ml.When MTAN was applied for 1min and 5min,bacterial survival was still observed in some groups, and no bacterial survival was observed in the mixed bacteria in each group at 10 min. When MTAN+EDTA acted for 1min,5min and 10 min,no bacterial survival was found in the mixed bacteria of each group.ConclusionMTAN has obvious antibacterial effect on Streptococcus sanguis ?Porphyromonas gingivalis ? Fusobacterium nucleatum. After adding EDTA,the antibacterial effect of MTAN is significantly enhanced, and it has better bactericidal effect at very low concentration.MTAN and MTAN+EDTA showed obvious antibacterial effects against Streptococcus sanguis?Porphyromonas gingivalis and Fusobacterium nucleatum in a short time.
