| Objective:To observe the clinical efficacy of Neiguan point injection with 0.9%physiological saline, dexamethasone, tropisetron and transcutaneous electrical acupoint stimulatio on Neiguan point in preventing Postoperative nausea and vomiting after thyroid surgery. To explore the feasibility of different stimulation methods of Neiguan acupoint for prevention and treatment of PONV in patients after thyroid surgery Methods:160patients,undergoing elective thyroid surgery, age of 20-65 were randomly assigned into 4 groups,40 cases in each. Before induction of anesthesia,1mL 0.9%physiological saline injection was injected in the bilateral Neiguan points in group A(Control);2.5mg(1mL)dexamethasone injection was injected in the bilateral Neiguan points in group B(Dexamethasone);1mg(1mL)tropisetron injection was inj ected in the bilateral Neiguan points in group C(tropisetron);Group D(TEAS)received TEAS of 30 minutes at bilateral Neiguan points, the stimulation intensity was set on 2~100 Hz alternating waveform at the highest tolerable electric current. All episodes of PONV including its severity and Nausea visual analog scale during the first 24 hours after anesthesia were recorded Results:The prevalences and the severityof PONV 0 to 6 hours and 6 to 24 hours after anesthesia were statistically significant lower in tropisetron group and transcutaneous group, compared with control group(P<0.05).The prevalences and the NVAS of PONV 24 hours after anesthesia were statistically significant lower in tropisetron group and transcutaneous group, compared with control group(P<0.05).Couclusion:Neiguan point injection, with tropisetron and transcutaneous electrical acupoint stimulatio on Neiguan point can effectively prevent the incidence and severity of nausea and vomiting after thyroid surgery. |
