Study On The Mechanism Of Airway Inflammation,lung Function And Quality Of Life In COPD Patients With Acute Exacerbation

Objective: To evaluate the effect of tongxiajiangqi method on airway inflammation,pulmonary function and quality of life of patients with AECOPD by using xuanbaichengqi Decoction plus and minus combined with western medicine in order to provide theoretical and practical basis for clinical work.Methods: a total of 60 patients with AECOPD phlegm heat damming lung syndrome from the First Affiliated Hospital of Anhui University of traditional Chinese medicine were randomly divided into two groups: the control group(30 cases)and the treatment group(30 cases)respectively.The symptoms and signs of the patients were observed,the inflammatory indexes before and after treatment,lung function,cat score,NHP scale and other related indexes were observed.Result: 1.Before treatment,there was no significant difference between the two groups in gender,age,course of disease,TCM syndrome score,lung function,NHP scale score,cat score,CRP,WBC,NEUT%(P > 0.05).2.After treatment,the scores of TCM syndromes in the two groups were significantly lower than that before treatment,except for fever symptoms,the improvement of symptoms in the treatment group was better than that in the control group,the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05).3.After treatment,the total effective rate of TCM syndromes in the treatment group was 93.33%,and that in the control group was 83.33%.The overall effect of improvement in the treatment group was better than that in the control group,the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05).4.After treatment,the pulmonary function of the two groups was significantly improved compared with that before treatment,but there was no significant difference between the two groups(P > 0.05).5.After treatment,the main indexes of inflammation(CRP,WBC,NEUT%)in the two groups were significantly lower than that before treatment;the decrease of inflammation indexes in the treatment group was better than that in the control group,the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05).6.After treatment,the cat scores of the two groups were significantly lower than before treatment,and the improvement of the treatment group was more obvious than that of the control group,the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05).7.After treatment,NHP scores of the two groups were significantly reduced compared with before treatment;after treatment,except pain scores,the treatment group improved more significantly than the control group,the difference was statistically significant(P < 0.05).Conclusion: Xuanbai Chengqi Decoction Combined with conventional western medicine treatment can significantly improve the pulmonary function,cat score,NHP score,reduce the inflammation index(CRP,WBC,NEUT%),improve the overall efficiency,improve the clinical efficacy,reduce the pain and economic burden of patients with AECOPD.
